Thanks for all the compliments, I know it has some flaws, but I've learned a lot along the way.

These are the tire/wheel choices I narrowed it down to. The resin on the left equal to 42"... they'll work, but it's really tall. I'm prepping the other two sets for comparison, just realized the slotted wheels are only 5 lug... figuring how to remedy that...as I have two more sets.

Fireball Modelworks has some really nice 5 slot 8 lug wheels and also has some nice tires to go with them should you want them.

Nice work on that Suburban.

Thanks. I actually have a couple different sets of his 5 slot wheels, which of course are awesome, but I'm going for a bit more modern on this one.

I'm thinking of Bronco and Ford pickup projects for those!

New update....both bumpers painted. Hood in background has been done for a bit, ready for wet sand.

Fantastic! I love it, it's so cool, I wish there was kit, or you made copies for sale!

Beautiful build, congratulations, even though I know there's still more greatness to come!

About the same time I got the bodies grafted together, 3d files started appearing. Thanks for your comments!

If you can grind off the 5 lugs, you can replace them by drilling out holes in whatever pattern you need common pin size, inserting a piece of brass craft wire and then following up with a #15 fusion hex bead.  They look just like lug nuts.

Funny.... I'm actually contemplating doing that. I have a small piece of stock I'm going to try making a cutter for my lathe to remove them to flush or slightly deeper, then either redrill the rims or make a round insert with the lugs.

Didn't think about using the hex beads though! Good idea!

Very nice work so far! Sorry if I missed it, but what color did you use for the body?

No, you didn't miss the color choice...I just never thought about listing it. The interior is MCW Gunmetal Metallic Interior..semi gl. lacquer. The body is Model Master Artesian Turquoise Metallic (4628L) 1965.

Thanks! Too bad it's unavailable now :(

I haven't abandoned this build, looking forward to it being completed. I have been busy building kitchen cabinets for a customer, so once finished, I will buy some resin and silicone so I can proceed with the build.

Thanks for following!

Thanks for the update Karl. It's good to know that this one isn't just going to fade away.
