OldTrucker Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 Just finished it this morning. Far from perfect. 1
Jim B Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 Tough kit. Nicely done. The stake bed looks right at home on the back.
steveracer Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 Johnny, looks great especially the lengthened chassis and stake bed build. When I was a kid, I built the exact same layout and color except I did not create the wood stake sides, so it was just a flatbed out of balsa. This model looks nice, and I have a special liking for the old Dodge tilt cabs....
leafsprings Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 Great job with the tractor to stake conversion! Cab sits level and straight on frame, hard to pull off with the L 700. Excellent detail and paint work, especially like wheel color contrasts. Keep these medium duties coming!

Discovered that the frame posts for the cab hinge are different lengths and had to move one up higher on the frame.
happy grumpy Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 Great job on a difficult kit. Looks really great in this configuration.
rekcirb13 Posted September 14, 2022 Posted September 14, 2022 Nice clean build, Johnny! Those Dodge cabs can be a real challenge. Bob
Bainford Posted October 21, 2022 Posted October 21, 2022 The old Dodge looks great as a stake bed. Very nice work. I’ve been wanting to tackle one of these kits for years.
stavanzer Posted November 1, 2022 Posted November 1, 2022 I remember seeing the real thing on the road 40 years ago. You really nailed the look with this build! Great Job.
