Cuba_13 Posted September 12, 2022 Posted September 12, 2022 (edited) Good afternoon friends. I'm starting a new build. This time I'm visiting a very beautiful car. We look at the box itself and see what's inside. I bought this box from my friend and his kid lost the decal sheet and the 4th tire. I would be very grateful if one of you who has the same (or similar from Lindbergh) unbuilt kit could scan the decals for me in high resolution. I will already think about the tire myself, or I will replace the tires completely, I will take from another set, or I will look for someone who can match me. Edited September 12, 2022 by Cuba_13 1
Zippi Posted September 12, 2022 Posted September 12, 2022 That is going to be a nice build Roman. I built the hardtop version last year. Juat a wonderful kit to build. I really like the box art. You going to paint it like the box art or have another color in mind?
Dirkpitt289 Posted September 12, 2022 Posted September 12, 2022 This looks to be a pretty decent kit. I'm looking forward to seeing how this comes together

Kenmojr Posted September 12, 2022 Posted September 12, 2022 (edited) I have the Lindberg 1953 convertible and sedan versions of this model. They are still shrink wrapped and unopened but I will gladly open the box and scan the decals if you wish. Are these two kits ithe exact same kit but issued separately by AMT and Lindberg? I purchased these about 20 years ago at Mardens in Bangor, Maine. At the time I also purchased the Lindberg 1935 Auburn, The Hawk 1/8 scale Hemi engine, two Testor's 1/18th scale metal kits - Packard Towncar and Lincoln Zephyr. Hope to tackle these someday. Round2 owns AMT, and bought out Lindberg a few years ago. Same kit, new brand name on the box. 1

And to clarify, you are building the convertible but want the decals for the Victoria, correct? Edited September 13, 2022 by Kenmojr

It is quite possible and on the forum, you never know who else will come in handy. 4 hours ago, Kenmojr said: And to clarify, you are building the convertible but want the decals for the Victoria, correct? Yes, I saw them on some forum, but there was a picture in poor quality, they are very similar to those that I should have.
slusher Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 Real nice looking kit, I know you have it looking sharp! 1
Kenmojr Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 Tore the shrink wrap off and opened the kit. The decal sheet is tiny, only 1.5 inches x 3 inches. Never saw a decal sheet so small. I did scan and it's ready for you. Send me your e-mail add via this site's messaging. 1
Cuba_13 Posted September 17, 2022 Author Posted September 17, 2022 Good afternoon friends. Here are some points that I would like to draw your attention to. I often make pins for parts so that they will hold better later in the final assembly. For the pins, I use thin copper wire. Thanks to the pins, the exhaust manifolds and the ignition coil will hold up better. My furry helper. Funny moment with the door cards. The manufacturer simply took them from the Victoria hardtop and added small elements. The steering wheel out of the box is too close to the levers, almost close. It should not be. I took a piece of sprue and lengthened it. Now everything is ok. All parts are processed, washed and ready for primer. See you again. 1
slusher Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 (edited) I have a furry helper but mine is more of a distraction then helper! Edited September 19, 2022 by slusher 1
