Horrorshow Posted September 16, 2022 Posted September 16, 2022 Had some fun with this one. AMT Christine kit. Sanded off all the trim and opened the wheel wells to accommodate the larger tires. I used Tamiya putty to cover the headlights and taillights. Built a roll cage from the parts tree. My first attempt at building front and rear bumper bars, I’m not happy with the result, that’s how you learn I guess. Rustoleum primer and paint, MPR decals and Plastic Performance wheels and tires. 3
espo Posted September 16, 2022 Posted September 16, 2022 Great looking weekend warrior and can only imagine the mayhem with "Mr. Excitement" behind the wheel. 1
TarheelRick Posted September 16, 2022 Posted September 16, 2022 Wouldn't want to see that bull bar coming up in my rearview, especially with Jimmy Spencer at the wheel. Very nice build. 1
Reegs Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 In the early '60s Freeport Stadium had a "Sedan" class full of barges like that. 1/5 mile, too. 1
satterwhite78 Posted September 22, 2022 Posted September 22, 2022 Just the slogan on the hood tells the other competitors what's in store once the green flag drops..... 1
TonyK Posted September 24, 2022 Posted September 24, 2022 What the...? Fun to see someone's imagination come up with something different. I really like it. 1
fivesuns Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 Look OUT Kurt Busch, Jimmy's coming through! 1
TransAmMike Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 If I saw that bad boy coming up behind me I'd give Jimmy plenty of room. Cool build David!! 1
Bills72sj Posted September 29, 2022 Posted September 29, 2022 Wow! With those bumper guards, one would think the driver could rough up his fellow competitors. 1
Jonathan Posted October 6, 2022 Posted October 6, 2022 That is an excellent way to fix the weird side trim on the AMT kit! Very cool build.
Mike Stem Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 That's a fantastic build!!! I love it! Brings back memories of our Saturday night racing of 40+yrs ago. Keep up the great work!!!
