Rbray47 Posted October 6, 2022 Posted October 6, 2022 Just finished today. I shaved the body and filled in the fuel cap area, lowered it, and added a Buick GN V6. Paint is Rustoleum Sun Yellow over Mr Hobby primer. 3
Street Rod Posted October 6, 2022 Posted October 6, 2022 That’s one sharp truck! I agree, nice touch with the Grand National engine.
Zippi Posted October 6, 2022 Posted October 6, 2022 Great looking little pickup. I like the engine swap.
espo Posted October 6, 2022 Posted October 6, 2022 I also like the Buick Grand National engine and it looks like some of the front suspension as well. Great looking paint and it sure is bright. Like the smooth look of the body.
TransAmMike Posted October 6, 2022 Posted October 6, 2022 Well Randy, that is a super nice looking '53. Kinda funny, my wife has a cousin named Randy Bray, lives in Pensacola.
XYHARRY Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 Nice 53 Randy. That color looks great and the black interior gives it a tuff look. Love your engine choice, you definitely think outside the square. Cheers, David. ??
Rbray47 Posted October 8, 2022 Author Posted October 8, 2022 Thanks for the compliments guys! I have been slowly building kits from my childhood that I messed up. This one is a replica of a build from the 90s, and I tried to replicate the look I was going for back then. The GN engine is from another one from around the same time that was broken at some point. You can see the Testors Chezoom Teal paint on the block that matched the car lol
