öfter a little bit of sanding here and there I did a quick mock up and if everything goes well this  might be the final ride hight:

But the rear part of the chassis doesn't fit quite well:

So I cut the rear section off, removed some material and reattached it with a little angle:

I've been in a slump lately but I'm ready to declare my entry and get in on the fun that I've been sideline watching all you awesome builders have. ?

I'll be building my favorite kit of all time the Classic Revell 69 Camaro. I've made my selection based on two reasons...

#1. I can build this kit rather quickly as I'm late to the party. And because it's my favorite kit, I've built it many times over and over agian I can practically build the car with my eyes closed.

#2. I really needed an excuse to reboot my tips and tricks tread to share some more of my build secrets on improving this particular kit. ?

So I'm officially on the board with my 2023 CBR RWYB... the chase is on!!

Nice choice for the build!

Added some width and length to the trunk section of the nascar chassis to fit the Galaxie body by using sheet styrene

I wasn't able to find any hinge parts for the trunk lid in the kit box (second hand bargain, maybe the former owner wanted to open the trunk of another kit?) so I'll be using scratch build hinges

Great progress taking place in here guys! I have begun to build my chassis on the Camaro. I married the 69 Camaro chassis with the 66 Chevy II Amt Pro-street. Kinda simple but a huge difference and added tub space for big wheels. Moving on!

It is done. Powerful yet subtle. the machnist even found a 1951 license plate with a veiled reference to the engine.

I wouldn't call it pointless piddling but I'm in progress with the Camaro.... sorting out my choice for drive train and gettin the chassis ready for the wheels and tires. Slow going but I'm picking up speed. This weekend I'm gonna move quickly so I can get this heap ready for qualifying. Lots of work lay ahead.

I'm eager to get to the starting line!  I'm leaning towards a mild Pro-touring style build with subtle colors. I'll make important improvements for comfort and reliability also.

The engine is from the 06 Concept Camaro. The 6.0 liter LS2 Y Block is all aluminum for light weight with 400 HP. The AFM (active fuel management) system provides 30 mpg at high speeds, claims made by the concept design team. ? anywho stay tuned... ?

Great stance. Is this the Fast andFurious version?

Present state of condition...? I'm trying to stay focused, currently searching for the custom back seat that matches the front buckets I want to use on the build. They're somewhere around here.

I built these wheels using the pancake disc-brake rallys from the Revell 67 Chevelle and rings from the 84 GMC 4X4. I'm thinking about painting the car to match the box but with pearl white stripes and 20 inch retro style aluminum Rally wheels and low profile tires.

I know that seat is here... now where did I see that darn thing?

Can dig it! That Galaxie is Sweet!

Oh! Ho! O... looky what I found! That back seat eluded me for the last time... ?

I created a 3D dash pad, kinda my contribution to improving the Revell Camaro. it's already a great kit but I've come up with ways to make it my version.Got some pearl coat on the stripes too.

Bit by bit I'm making progress but I'm working on three at the moment... that's kinda my style and I've been gettin up working on models before heading to work... That's all for now
