absmiami Posted March 17, 2023 Posted March 17, 2023 You could do the strip in gold or silver carbon fiber weave and apply it to the surface of the glass support on top - that works for me …
absmiami Posted March 19, 2023 Posted March 19, 2023 Dont know how many Mclaren 720 s have been made with the Gulf livery …. One passed me by on the street today- amazing what you see tooling around town in Miami - somebody has got to do a T50 with this livery …

I don't remember if he got that Gulf 720S after winning 2021 Italian GP but I do remember he got 765LT.

Jhedir6 Posted March 21, 2023 Posted March 21, 2023 Pretty sure it's in LA. He goes there during breaks in the F1 season to decompress. The second season? of Drive to Survive shows him there with his trainer. 3 hours ago, absmiami said: Does Riccardo have a home in Miami ? 56 minutes ago, Tyas said: If I remembered correctly he owned a home in USA, but I don't remember exactly where.

Ya know - i have absolutely nothing to build right at this moment … I'd expect April/May depending on the land mass in question. It should go up for pre-order in Japan in a couple of weeks as all of the kits for the Shizouka Hobby Show are made available.
Alegitbot Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 some new pics on the tamiya usa page. https://www.tamiyausa.com/shop/124-sports-car-series/gma-t50/ 2
niteowl7710 Posted April 26, 2023 Author Posted April 26, 2023 One thing not mentioned in the TamiyaUSA information is the release date, which according to the Tamiya Japan version of this is going to be August. That's a bit later than I would have expected, but I guess with the new "gimmicks" of rotors & calipers being separated and the multi-slide molded "hollow" coil-over springs tooling production has run a little longer.
Matt Bacon Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 (edited) I hope they are going to include the tailored luggage set that fits into those two trunks in front of the rear wheels... ? Lots of the real things on show at Goodwood last weekend, to whet your appetite... if it needs it: best, M. Edited April 26, 2023 by Matt Bacon 2
Bennyg Posted May 10, 2023 Posted May 10, 2023 Release date: August 2023. There is pictures on Tamiya’s Facebook page. It looks ace to me. Ben 1
DiscoRover007 Posted May 11, 2023 Posted May 11, 2023 Can't wait. Looks great! I wish Tamiya would make a Maserati MC12. This subject gives me hope.
Madhatter Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 Andys Hobby HQ just released a video on it: Looks pretty good! 6
stinkybritches Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 Mega Hobby is showing these as ready for purchase https://www.megahobby.com/products/gma-t50-sports-car-tamiya.html?utm_source=instocknotify&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=instocknotify 1 1
niteowl7710 Posted July 22, 2023 Author Posted July 22, 2023 I have one of these on pre-order at HLJ (Japan isn't getting it until August), but if TamiyaUSA is selling them for a decent price at IPMS Nats in a few days I might grab one there instead.
martinfan5 Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 (edited) I didnt get around to pre ordering it from HLJ and they are order stop, for some reason, I am getting $5 off from Megahobby so I think might order from them. Ive been getting my new Tamiya kits from Hobby Easy but their shipping is $25 making it cheaper to buy local if not getting from HLJ and shipping it over with other kits. Rob Hall Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 I ordered mine today from Megahobby, looks like they have it in stock.
Matt Bacon Posted July 27, 2023 Posted July 27, 2023 Mine came today. Looking forward to some plastic-fondling this evening. It feels like a well filled box of styrene! Has anyone found anywhere that's starting to show the colours customers have ordered them in/spots on the road? best, M. 1
stinkybritches Posted July 27, 2023 Posted July 27, 2023 Mine appears to be stuck in USPS purgatory. It was supposed to have been delivered yesterday.
