1964 Cutlass..from my childhood

I did this car as a throwback to my childhood. My parents ordered the inspiration for this build in early 1964, and I have many fond memories of riding in this car. I was never crazy about the color, but I’m guessing my mom was the one that selected it. The build is box stock, as all I wanted was a model that captured the car as I remember it. Thanks to everyone for the kind words. This car went into the strip tank twice….but it turned out ok in the end. And as was mentioned by several of you, it was a very satisfying experience building this car from my past. Next, I’m going to build the first new car I ever had.

Well done Joe , that's a beautiful Cutlass !  Back in '64 I probably wouldn't have liked that color either (our '60 Dodge was bright red !) but now that pale blue looks really nice .
