I picked up this Monogram 1950 Ford pickup off ebay a while back and decided it's my next victim.  I'm using the wheels & tires from the Monogram 1937 Ford Sedan kit.  I got the suspension lowered for a trial run to see how I like it.  Might have just a little to much rake.  Or not.

Stance looks perfect!! Can’t wait to see more!

Thanks Keith.  I'm still second guessing the height of the rearend.  I may play around with it today.

Off to a great start!

Thanks Steve.  I need to get the suspension just where I like it and get it glued up.

Looks pretty good to me.?

Thanks Joel.  I'm looking for a ride height like in the pics.  Just a little tweaking.  That colors not bad either.

Looks great Bob. Not sure if this is a possibility, but perhaps a set of lower profile tires in the rear might get it to where you want it without any suspension mods. Just a thought... ?

Thanks Mathias.  Yeah, that might work.  I want to get both front and rear wheels just below the arch in the fenders and then the offset wheels & tires will set the rake.  Getting ready to head out to the garage and see what I can do.

Good kit to work with Bob, looking forward to the build!

Thanks Carl.  Still trying to get the suspension just right.

Ok fellows, I think I have the suspension looking good now.  I wanted the wheels to almost be at the same height as the arch of the fender then let the different size wheels set the rake.  I'm a happy camper now.

I liked the first stance just fine, but this new one is good as well. Did you flip the rear axle and C notch the frame?

Did nothing to the frame.  I moved the front and rear axles to the top of the leafsprings.

That is what I meant when I said flipping the rear axle. On the '50 I built a made a drop axle. The front "wishbones" had to be split since the frame was riding on them in the stock location.

That last 4 inches of drop you did out back is where it's got to be... how's the tire clearance? -KK

Tire clearance is tight.
