NYLIBUD Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 Well, without going into details, cause you can Google all that, but in case you haven’t heard,Ozzy has stated he can no longer tour and is officially retiring due to suffering from the awful illness of “Parkinson’s disease”..I never did see him play live, but I have been a big fan of Black Sabbath and Ozzy ever since I first heard Paranoid(1970).Best wishes to the Prince of Darkness.?
TonyK Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 It is sad that he's been stricken with this disease but man.....the fact he's made it this far is amazing. I'm also a fan from the Black Sabbath days and hope the best for him. 1

NOBLNG Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 Jeez…I thought you were going to say he was no longer with us.? He’s done well to be touring up till now. My late brother and one of my uncles had Parkinson’s. One reason I got back into this hobby is to keep track of my own stability.
BlackSheep214 Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 Yup. Heard the news last night. He had a nice run all these years.
Aaronw Posted February 3, 2023 Posted February 3, 2023 Honestly I'm a little surprised he made it this far. He wasn't easy on his body when he was younger. I'm a big fan of Ozzy and Black Sabbath, so hope he is able to enjoy life for many more years. I saw him twice, 1984 during his Bark at the Moon tour at the Cow Palace (San Francisco), and then during his No More Tours tour, in 1992 at the Oakland Coliseum. I guess we should be happy he was able to keep going 30 years after his 1992 "retirement". I also saw Black Sabbath with Dio at the Henry J Kaiser Center (Oakland). Wish I had made more effort to make one of the Black Sabbath shows for their 13 album.

Yea,I believe he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s a few years ago,but chose to not let his fans know about it..But there is some really positive news,I just read, that Ozzy has won the 2023 Grammy Award for Best Rock Album with [Patient Number 9].And he added that just because he really can’t tour any longer,he still plans to try and record new music in the studio.Keep on rocking Ozzy.?
