fiatboy Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 Hello. Hobby Lobby has what is called 'special paper'. It is 79cents a sheet, comes in every color of the rainbow. It is textured on 1 side. The fact that it is 'foldable' or 'creasable', is actually an advantage as you just add the Canopy Cement in the crease. I've tried ribbon and medical-tape; I like this. Thanks 1 1
vintagerpm Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 Do you have a brand name for thios paper? What section of the store was it in? What is it supposed to be used for? Searching for "special paper" on the Hobby Lobby web site merely brings up a paper box. Need more info.
fiatboy Posted February 21, 2023 Author Posted February 21, 2023 The paper was in the store by the art supplies. It is not the heavy paper used for 'matting'. The lady in the store showed it to me and said it was 'special paper'. The sheets are about 14" by 14". There were many different sheets in many different colors. It was a rather large display. 1
peteski Posted February 21, 2023 Posted February 21, 2023 "Special paper" is still vague. Does the sheet you bought have any labeling (like a UPC barcode , part #,, and a name of the product or manufacturer)? It has to have some sort if identification for the cashier to use.

Thanks Could you please post a picture of the seat belts and/or the entire sheet of paper? Thanks.
bluestringer Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 Sounds like it may be scrapbook paper. It comes in many different colors and patterns.
Rodent Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 It is scrapbook paper, and they call it "Embossed Specialty Paper". I wasn't able to find what I got in a store today on their website to show you guys. I think it could make good seatbelts, but it doesn't come in many seatbelt-worthy colors unless you are doing a 70s van. I got grey and black, and I suppose you could pick a lighter color and paint it whatever color you need. It's normally 79 cents a sheet, but it was 40% off today.

Amazon seems to carry it in all kinds of colors, including metallics.
fiatboy Posted March 16, 2023 Author Posted March 16, 2023 This paper, I think, is what we used to call "construction paper" in grade school.
