Tamiya Porsche Turbo RSR Type 934

Just going to start this since I finished up my airplane this morning . Just going to be out of the box build . Looks like a pretty simple curbside kit. But I’m sure I can find a way to mess it up . I was about 10 when I did the last model without painting the body but I have to say even tho I ordered the paint for the body I am tempted not to paint it . It is that nice . What to do , what to do .

That body looks pretty nice and shiny just the way it is. Maybe no paint could work out well.

I just did the Tamiya Alpine A110 without paint and it came out well.  Refreshing to do one like the old days!

I'm a big Porsche lover so I'll be watching this one Ray.   I have 2 unbuilt Porsches in the stash.  Maybe one day?

The interior is pretty much done . I messed up on the primer on the body so I am correcting that .

Just curious about the Revell vs Tamiya kit. Revell a rebox of Tamiya or different kit?

Got the body painted with Tamiya TS 12 orange . Decals and clear and black trim next

Looks good Ray, what are you planning for the black trim on the body.?

Thanks Rich. I wish I had a plan for all the trim. I at first thought marker ? Then I thought brush paint ? These solutions do not sound good to me. I know I will end up messing up the body paint. Maybe a mix of those two methods ? I have to give it more thought.

They used to make Bare Metal Foil in black, don't know if it's still available?  That would be my choice for the trim.  Great work on this!

I had some black BMF a long time ago . I did not like it . Seemed thick and did not contour well but thank you for the suggestion .

Looking really good, I did start the revell car but the black trim didn't go to plan so need to redo that one once I've learned some better masking methods 

 

I have a built chassis, just need a new body shell now.

 

Yours is looking very tidy,I know you'll figure out a good plan.
