atomicholiday Posted March 1, 2023 Posted March 1, 2023 I’ve been away from the forum for a long time now and haven’t actually had anything to show for 9ish years now. Life was happening and my bench was completely covered with clutter. Not a very welcoming environment to work at. Cleared it off last November and I’ve been having a blast ever since. This is the Revell “Special Edition” kit built pretty much straight from the box. The only modifications I made were to lower the front end slightly and eliminate the exhaust system after the headers. Paint is Testors extreme lacquer Flaming Orange from the rattle can. Everything else was brush painted. I haven’t fired up my airbrush yet. Need to figure out venting first. For the most part I’m pleased with the results. That being said, I was going for more rake. Just couldn’t get the front end low enough without completely rebuilding that area. Also, I really like the color, but to my eyes, the flake is out of scale. Comments and constructive criticism is more than welcome. Enjoy! 10
happy grumpy Posted March 2, 2023 Posted March 2, 2023 Beautiful job on the A model. The bright color makes it pop in the sun.
mustang1989 Posted March 2, 2023 Posted March 2, 2023 Neat, clean and VERY tidy build. I really like how these build up and in the hands of a skilled modeler, like yourself, they come out superbly.
Joe Nunes Posted March 2, 2023 Posted March 2, 2023 Great looking model! Very appealing color combination and detail work. Well done! ? Joe
Zippi Posted March 2, 2023 Posted March 2, 2023 I really like these old Ford Roadsters. Great color and a nice looking build after being away for so long.
espo Posted March 2, 2023 Posted March 2, 2023 Great looking paint work and color. Very cleanly put together.
atomicholiday Posted March 4, 2023 Author Posted March 4, 2023 Thank for all the praise guys! Means a lot to me, coming from a group like this. This was a pretty fun project, and I think it’s put me back on track with model building again. I have about half a dozen other kits in progress currently. Can’t wait for warmer weather so I can get outside and shoot some paint!
