Classicgas Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 Saw this on spotlight hobbies forum. Is it real?
Can-Con Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 Promotional material from a decade ago that didn't happen. The deal fell through, I guess.
Rob Hall Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 The people involved in that IMC effort died, I believe.

Brian Austin Posted March 29, 2023 Posted March 29, 2023 The thread did explain the graphic, and yes the project never came to fruition. It's been over a decade now. From the time when there were rumors of useable JoHan tooling.

I interviewed Ernie Petit (for MCM) at the IHobby show in Chicago (actually Rosemont) where he discussed planning to resurrect these. At the time, the newly formed IMC (not to be confused with the original IMC) was working out licensing and other details. Not long after, he passed away and this all faded away. 1967RMP Posted March 29, 2023 Posted March 29, 2023 IIRC, they were going to also offer the 1959 Rambler wagon, as well as another original Jo-Han I can't remember. A 70's Olds, perhaps?

Daddyfink Posted March 30, 2023 Posted March 30, 2023 JoHan made a full detail kit and a Promo, that later became an unassembled easy kit
