  1. Hmmm. You might be onto something. I've been trying to figure out what to do with mine. Decals, wheels, and tires from the spares box, lights from the Johan Fury, siren from God knows where, some weathering, and voila!
  2. IIRC, they were going to also offer the 1959 Rambler wagon, as well as another original Jo-Han I can't remember. A 70's Olds, perhaps?
  3. This kit has potential (not sure if right year, don't know much about Holdens)
  4. When the CHP Dodge Monaco came out, I was happy for the new wheels and tires but disappointed that it didn't have the vented hubcaps seen on the box. Speaking of the Monaco, when it first came out it showed an accurate steering wheel and cool radio. Neither were inside.
  5. I wasn't disputing how popular Bruce Lee is, I wanted to point out that the Blues Brothers are popular outside the U.S. Peace!
  6. I'm not quite sure I agree with you. You Tube shows many European tributes to the Blues Brothers. These are just a couple of examples. Not to mention European owners of Bluesmobiles.
  7. I'm not a fan of the GL 1:24 diecast, it always seemed a little off to me. And as esoteric a subject matter as the Bluesmobile, it is still MUCH more well known than the Black Beauty, who NO ONE would have predicted would be produced. Count me in for a case of Bluesmobile kits! I do agree with you on the sequel. Other than the music and the car pile up, blecch!
  8. You even got the gasket on the gumball machine! Nice touch.
  9. I wouldn't mind seeing a police version, myself.
  10. I don't really need anything for them, but if you can use them that would make me happy. Let me know if you need the large or small sheet, or both.
  11. This forum is a godsend! Even 15 years after the last post, I got the answer I needed. The purple pond wouldn't even touch the part I just painted with Tamiya spray, now I know others have had the same trouble. I'll try the 91% alcohol.
  12. If it's the same garbage lightbar as in the Galaxie kit, hard pass. The Visibar from the MPC Smokey The Convoy Chaser though, I'd definitely pick up a few.
  13. The Spaulding kits also came with vacuformed clear glass as well as the green.
  14. Figured it had to be Modelhaus, oh well. Thanks for your replies!
  15. As I just got a Jo-Han 1956 Plymouth promo (non-acetate) off the 'Bay, I remembered that these once came in a kit with an aftermarket resin interior. Does anyone know who produced it, and if it's still available for purchase?
  16. Tamiya makes a nice clear red, I use it all the time. Amazon has it for $5.69 with free shipping in the US, I don't know about Canada. https://smile.amazon.com/Enamel-Clear-80027-Tamiya-TAMIYA/dp/B06VTVCL4J/ref=sr_1_3?crid=1YTT0CZD7I97N&dchild=1&keywords=tamiya+clear+red&qid=1610472515&sprefix=tamiya+clea%2Caps%2C212&sr=8-3
  17. "At Fine Scale Modeler, we feature both kinds of models - armor AND aircraft!"
  18. Beverly Hills Cop has this weird scene. Exiting alley.... Out of alley..... ...in pursuit!
  19. Still (mostly) bagged! https://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-Unused-1960s-RENWAL-Visible-Automobile-Chassis-Model-Kit-1-4-Scale-NR/133411085304?_trkparms=aid%3D333200%26algo%3DCOMP.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20171011185948%26meid%3Dfacd476a5e34468cac862a2f92f7c0a3%26pid%3D100229%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D392778095808%26itm%3D133411085304%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2053904%26algv%3DItemStripV3%26brand%3DRenwal&_trksid=p2053904.c100229.m3211
  20. Put me down as a Burbank's House of Hobbies fan. I used to go there all the time when I worked in Glendale. I just placed an order with them yesterday. Great service and selection.
