I've bought several of Revell's excellent Porsche tractor and would like to encourage Revell to do a Lamborghini tractor to pair with it. Anyone else interested?

or heller, their grey fergie is one of the best kits I've seen one of the most accurate kits in my stash (I've restored 3 and a half of the 35s and a 135). So if they want to continue their run of tractors that would be cool too

I kept missing that kit in the store. Can it be converted to a Ford?

I converted mine into a 35 but i think i have print files for a ford. The engine on the ford is not the same but did ford use the engine from a model a? the monogram engine might work if it did. the fergusons used engine from the standard vanguard cars but the diesel or petrol/parafin engines might have been ford. I know at one point there was ford ferguson tractor but that might refer to the hitch on the back as ferguson was sometimes used on ther brands to say they were compatible. Incidentally, the first 4x4 road car (not jeeps or trucks) was the jensen interceptor and ferguson provided the 4x4 system. The prototype was discovered in an aircraft hanger at my local airport by me, but i thought it was just a normal jensen so i didn't buy it, still kicking myself over that, a 4x4 mopar engined luxury car for less than a grand (it needed lots of work underneath) The kit is still available and if you get the double set it comes with a very nice reference book (written in french but the pics are good) but i would expect there to be another special edition coming for the anniversary of ferguson as i beleive they are aproaching 100 tears as a tractor company soon

I wanted to reply and say there is an old Protar model of a Lambo tractor. I’ve seen it on eBay. I’m no longer sure it was made by Protar. Maybe I had that idea due to keyword spamming. The only thing my search turned up was this photo. It’s for an auction site but apparently this lot has already sold.

I couldn’t tell. I only remember this from eBay searches for Protar, but again, it could be keyword spamming that got it to show up.

i found the auction site but it not really an auction site. just one that says what live auctions sold for. Its quite an annoying site as it pops up under shopping on google yet it dont sell anything

I’ve got one planned. Hoping to start it later this year. That is some good inspiration!

That's kool!  :D

What kit would you be using? A Ford tractor could have a hot-rodded flathead.......

Starting with the Porsche. Probably end up with a blown hemi, or maybe twin turbos. I like everything low, might as well lower a tractor too!! It was actually Les (stitched up) that got me fired up with that green tractor from a distillery. Thank you Les!!! With the recent passing of one of my favourite builders on this forum, (Plowboy) Roger Hayes, I plan on doing a custom tractor in his honour with some home made decals. Still have ideas spinning around in my head…

If you decide to use a 928 5 liter DOHC engine, I have access to one. It’s on a pallet and I can get you all the photos you want.

i bought a 1/12 57 chevy just to get 2 of the crager rims and tyres. put it back on ebay then got more than my money back. I'll be using the grey fergie kit for mine with some printed engine most likelly so i can scale it up a little so it fills the under hood more

Hi Les, sounds like you are a little further along in the planning than I am. Great score on the Cragars!  The ability to print your own engine and change scale is perfect for this type of build. I’ll be watching when you get going.

Hi Lee, I appreciate your offer. Not sure yet what I will use, but for the build I have in mind, I won’t be TOO worried about an exact replica per se.  Thanks again.

Cheers, Steve
