I am sure you built one! I might have the only one that's not accounted for, and I feel rather badly, about that.

Monogram 1930 Model A Ford Coupe / Cabriolet kit circa 1962, original issue. The Model itself is not that hard to come by, but according to a close friend of mine who worked at Harb's Hobby Shop in Dearborn Michigan, this example is quite a rare survivor.

You'll notice the box bottom is sealed, it wuz Monogram's practice back in the day when a new kit wuz introduced to include a "display kit" (with the interior sealed) in each case of kits. The retailer could use this to show the features of the "new" kit to promote sales and when the hype of a new kit died down it could still be sold as a sealed kit.

This one I just got a few days ago. I built one back when they were new and lost it somewhere along the line. I'd given up trying to find one at a decent price and bought the Italeri version then Hobbytown Arlington had one in their vintage kits and I snapped it up.

Now that I have it, no doubt Tamiya will reissue it! lol

There are probably some rare oldies in here, two deep in the closet and on the shelves.  Some newer kits mixed in.

Holy smokes I’m drooling; lots of crazy cool kits, especially the Pontiac ones I like.

That is about 30 years of accumulating old kits.  A mix of unbuilt and built.

Here's a couple of kits I got a while back that I'm pretty sure are rare. I never knew anyone made a 968 kit, but it looked too cool to pass up. I've always wanted a 944 and this one came cheap.

I haven't opened them yet, does anyone know if they are decent kits?

Did you ever watch the old TV program called Wearhouse 13?

Yes, I remember that show.   This is only a portion of my collection, many more kits in the attic and storage unit (though those are mostly kits bought new in the last 25 years).

While not as large as your own, my "kit collection" is substantial and I have even sold off over a thousand kits a few years ago. My thought at this point in life is that I'll never live long enough to build them all. My wife refers to them as her "windows pension".

Yes, I have thought about that...I'm 55, have probably north of 2500 kits I've accumulated over the years...unless I become immortal, I'll never be able to build all of them...

I've got too many models too. I started buying in the mid 90s making weekly stops at Walmart, KayBee Toys, Toys R Us, and other places looking for clearances. I kept it over the years and have kits stored in my shop and in the in-laws garage. I really need to go through them some day.

I would like to assist you in unburdening that Shelf of Pontiacs. I has virtually all of my Holy Grails.

I wish Monogram or Revell would bring back the 1/8 T bucket kits...

So far, I have 2 Big Drags one of which is untouched and a couple of the newer Big T's...
