ewetwo Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 I have this car and have no idea what company made it. It's missing one hubcap if anyone has a spare. I'm going to try and put it back together. The plastic is sort of a green metallic.
1972coronet Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 (edited) Looks like the Revell Grade Coupe/Convertible kit, c.1969 Edited June 5, 2023 by 1972coronet
ewetwo Posted June 5, 2023 Author Posted June 5, 2023 (edited) You must have one because I couldn't find it anywhere. LOL It's not a very good looking kit as far as detail goes. I tried looking under Palmer. LOL Edited June 5, 2023 by ewetwo 1

I tried looking under Palmer. LOL My first thought was, "Palmer.". Then the metallic green reminded me of the Revell kit; that's how I'd searched for it : 'Revell 1969 Mustang Grande Kit' , and there it was. No, I don't have a copy; never have.
StevenGuthmiller Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 I knew right away it wasn’t a Palmer. The body was far too “in proportion” for a Palmer! ? Steve 1 2
Snake45 Posted June 6, 2023 Posted June 6, 2023 That's a VERY rare kit. If you'd rather trade it than try to get it back together, consider me first in line, old friend. 1
Bills72sj Posted June 6, 2023 Posted June 6, 2023 (edited) That would be pretty cool (and rare) to have. One of my circle of friends had a 1:1 1969 Mustang Grande in Emerald metallic green and a black vinyl top. It had a 351 Windsor and an automatic. I was in very nice condition. He was however, disappointed that my buddy and I had a 1970 4 door Galaxie 500. That could spank his Mustang from a roll or from a dead stop. Edited June 6, 2023 by Bills72sj
OldTrucker Posted June 6, 2023 Posted June 6, 2023 I had that kit when it was first released. I believe I finally stomped on it!LOL

The color is actually called Silver Jade, IIRC. There were so many of these running around my town back in the day that years before I learned the real color name, I called it Grande Green. 1
vamach1 Posted June 6, 2023 Posted June 6, 2023 I painted a built up about five years ago. It’s not the correct color (I used a Testors metallic green that resembles the grabber green metallic from 1971) but I agree it’s an okay kit for the times but comparing it to newer kits has to take into account five decades since it was made.

It was a very pretty medium dark metallic.

I tried PMing you about this but your account said you are not excepting messages. And still does.
vamach1 Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 (edited) Just saw this auction end. I thought when it was around $90 that was crazy but the final bid was mind blowing given the poor condition of the built up. Not sure if anyone cared if it was an original owner model. ?
