JTalmage Posted June 9, 2023 Posted June 9, 2023 I bought this unbuilt for 5 bucks. It was a Young Builders Club kit. I wanted to build it like it was a surviving driver you'd see on the road a decade or so after it was built. I stripped the chrome off the grille, then coated all body parts in Future. After that I rubbed everything down with tamiya weathering powders and some vallejo washes. Just a light weathering for a quick build. 8
jeffp60 Posted June 9, 2023 Posted June 9, 2023 That is nice ! Top really looks real. Love the weathering
Zippi Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 I'm liking it. The weathering look nice. Great job man.
Rattlecan Dan Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 Man, you grabbed the look all right. And thanks for the weathering tips. Fine job.
ismaelg Posted June 11, 2023 Posted June 11, 2023 Love it! Very cool effect. Well done. Glad to see factory stock early iron. Thanks, Ismael
manso Posted April 17, 2024 Posted April 17, 2024 That was a difficult kit to obtain for me in 1963. It was a double kit. You did an excellent job. AMT had a similar kit that I built earlier.
alan barton Posted April 18, 2024 Posted April 18, 2024 A clean build of a rare and nice kit. You have solved a mystery for me - I had that expanding luggage rack for years but never knew where it came from - now I know! Cheers Alan
