Jonathan Posted June 9, 2023 Posted June 9, 2023 Another Monogram Shelby Cobra. This is from the 2004 "A" Production Champions boxing, and the tooling is starting to show its age a little around the headlights, tops of fenders, etc. Changes I made included: Using photoetched hood pins to replace the ones I lost (these don't match the hood latch downs that the kit normally includes) Seatbelts, with non-race buckles because that's what I had on-hand Right Hand Drive conversion (well, mostly - I didn't do anything underneath to properly reflect right hand steering) Tamiya Pearl White over Tamiya White Primer, followed by decanted Tamiya Pearl Cleal mixed with a tiny bit of mica green/blue. Tamiya Clear over that. All metal finishes are Alclad II, except the headlights are the kit chrome. Thanks for looking! 5
ncbuckeye67 Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 Very nice! Love everything about it, especially the paint. It's nice to see something other than blue & red.
Rattlecan Dan Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 About as stylish a Cobra as I've seen. Your personal touches and tricky paint add so much to this build. Thanks for posting.
vamach1 Posted June 12, 2023 Posted June 12, 2023 Very nice. I’m guessing most of the 427’s made were LHD for the US market but no doubt there were some RHD cars or ones converted.
