I took this out of the box numerous times to build but always put it back but this time I'm going through with it. The chassis and interior bucket dont fit, not even close its too thick, so the dremel will get a work out. The body outside is nice and smooth . Paint Im thinking will be a metallic , blue maybe red not sure yet. Going to build it curbside to hold the aggravation factor down.?

A few days away from building anything gave me a few new ideas, the original Prowler chassis front end was just a way bigger hassle even with omitting the engine. Those control arms were not going to work , they stuck out way too far even with alot of cutting, not saying it cant be done just saying not for me. I found 2 chassis that will work in the junk box, an old SMP Corvette chassis chopped to fit and the red one (not sure what it is)maybe a Monogram item, with a few mods it would be real close but I would rather work with the wire axles. The interior width needed a little narrowing just around 1/8th inch off each side. After clean up new door panels can be made. Not using very many of the AMT Prowler kit parts , mostly interior , a few body items and tires with wheels.

Chassis mods worked out pretty good and I can start adding some details to the front of the chassis . It sitting at its lowest stance but I have plenty of room to adjust the other way. Still using the Prowler tires, wheels and headlights. The interior tub is in the body in the picture but thats all it is right now is a narrowed tub.

With the color on , Testors Extreme Lacquer , I moved on to the interior. The tub was narrowed and the panels trimmed to fit, I dont know where the door panels are from but trim fit pretty good ,then the seats were too wide so those were thinned but they kept the shape. Niw to get the dash cut to fit.
