Aoshima Toyota Celica GT

Finished this Toyota up today. I didn’t like the shade of Tamiya Racing Green so I hit a little to heavy maybe with Tamiya Smoke and then cleared. Definitely darkened it up. Overall turned out ok but with several builder induced flaws. Original Racing GreenAfter the smoke and cleared.

This one turned out very sweet Keith! I remember when I was a kid, these things were EVERYWHERE.  Nowadays they are a true rarity to see and just as much so in the scale world. Thanks for sharing this and taking us down a memory lane.

Cool little Toyota. I really dig that paint effect with the coat of smoke. Gives the car a nice aggressive vibe. The colour reminds me of black-jade as used on ‘69 Fords.
