shoopdog Posted July 7, 2023 Posted July 7, 2023 (edited) Finished this Toyota up today. I didn’t like the shade of Tamiya Racing Green so I hit a little to heavy maybe with Tamiya Smoke and then cleared. Definitely darkened it up. Overall turned out ok but with several builder induced flaws. Original Racing GreenAfter the smoke and cleared. Edited July 7, 2023 by shoopdog Error 6
espo Posted July 7, 2023 Posted July 7, 2023 Always liked this Toyota body style. Nice looking paint color and finish. Like the chassis detailing.
Hard_2_Handle_454 Posted July 7, 2023 Posted July 7, 2023 Looks great. Mine got damaged in shipping so it didn't come out quite that well. It's a good little kit.
Rattlecan Dan Posted July 7, 2023 Posted July 7, 2023 Gave it a kind of "tough guy" look. Original or Mustang taillights? Nice build.

mustang1989 Posted July 9, 2023 Posted July 9, 2023 This one turned out very sweet Keith! I remember when I was a kid, these things were EVERYWHERE. Nowadays they are a true rarity to see and just as much so in the scale world. Thanks for sharing this and taking us down a memory lane.
Bainford Posted July 9, 2023 Posted July 9, 2023 Cool little Toyota. I really dig that paint effect with the coat of smoke. Gives the car a nice aggressive vibe. The colour reminds me of black-jade as used on ‘69 Fords.
