Kah puts Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 Congratulations on the best Jag I’ve ever seen, hands down ??
Paul Payne Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 Super nice build, and the XK-120 is great as well!
Justin Porter Posted July 31, 2023 Posted July 31, 2023 That really sets the bar quite high for finishing off one of the best Jag kits on the market.
bmil128 Posted August 1, 2023 Posted August 1, 2023 Great job, this makes me want to find a copy of this kit. Here is Steve McQueen's XKSS at the Petersen Museum from a trip in 2017
Bugatti Fan Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 Lovely model build and superb finish. You can see the lineage from the Le Mans C and D Types. Matt Bacon mentioned the tyres reacting to the plastic wheels after a while. Had this happen to an Airfix Bentley that I built years ago. If the kit tyres are Vinyl they have an adverse chemical reaction when constantly against Polystyrene plastic unless a barrier like paint or foil is used. This is a thing to look out for in kits that have been stored for years with loose vinyl tyres in the box. I have also found out this the hard way with tyres and kit parts ruined whilst concealed in their box. Always separate them. Either put the tyres into a separate polystyrene bag of wrap them in tissue to keep them away from the main kit parts.
Zippi Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 Nice looking little Jag. That green looks Super nice.
