karbuildr Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 This is an excellent kit, and as we know, for improved detail, the chassis can be used on other GM mid sized cars from this era. I gave this one a monotone finish, starting with House of Kolor Orion Silver as a basecoat. I then masked off the upper portion of the car and sprayed it House of Kolor Ultra Orange. Finally I masked the body side stripe and the hood scoop and sprayed those two areas with House of Kolor Euro Red, with a clear coat by House of Kolor also. Wheels, tires and disk brakes are Pegasus. Thanks for looking. 8
AMT68 Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 That turned out great! You provided excellent detail throughout the build.

THarrison351 Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 Very Nice! You have also answered a question I've had for years. That air filter assembly has been in my parts bag for years and I've always wondered what it came from. I used the 442 chassis to build an AMT 1969 Chevelle years ago.
Street Rod Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 Great job! I like the details and the colors and custom paint really set the car off.
Rattlecan Dan Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 Really nice job on this. Very Foose-looking detail.
XYHARRY Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 I love that two tone paint scheme. Wheels and stance brings it all together. Well done David. Cheers, David. ??

Never know when something shows up and answers a question. I did the same with an AMT 69 Chevelle, using the Olds chassis.
