RancheroSteve Posted November 7, 2023 Author Posted November 7, 2023 Progress has ground to a near halt due to this: 1 1
RancheroSteve Posted November 16, 2023 Author Posted November 16, 2023 I managed to get most of the engine together. Front cover, oil filter, pulleys and belt, injector and scoop are from Speed City Resin. Wiring & plumbing might have to wait until this cast comes off. 2
RancheroSteve Posted December 19, 2023 Author Posted December 19, 2023 Finished wiring and plumbing the engine: 2
RancheroSteve Posted January 13, 2024 Author Posted January 13, 2024 Yes, all good now - thanks for asking. I'm back to making my usual slow but steady progress amidst life's distractions. Will post photos soon! 1
Rattlecan Dan Posted January 13, 2024 Posted January 13, 2024 Glad to see you're recovering. You were coming along so nice on that build. Hope you can get back at it soon, and you feel better.
RancheroSteve Posted January 19, 2024 Author Posted January 19, 2024 Front suspension and steering are installed; rear axle installed. Steering link isn't glued, as it will have to be removed to pass through the hole in the body. Not really visible here, but the interior is mostly complete. After I finish the wheelie bars I'll be able to drop the body on and it should start coming together. 3
Rocking Rodney Rat Posted January 19, 2024 Posted January 19, 2024 Good to see you back at it, I was digging all of the vinyl in that pic of your arm in the cast. I've got a lot of those 12" black discs here, too.... -RRR 1
David G. Posted January 19, 2024 Posted January 19, 2024 It's good to know that you're doing better. Nice progress on the build. David G. 1
RancheroSteve Posted February 9, 2024 Author Posted February 9, 2024 The body is on and it's up on its wheels. Gettin' closer . . . 5
David G. Posted February 9, 2024 Posted February 9, 2024 Dang, I thought that was the real thing! Excellent work so far and (obviously) a very good photo! ? David G.
RancheroSteve Posted February 19, 2024 Author Posted February 19, 2024 It took some doing, but Willie is now on board: The end is in sight . . . 4
David G. Posted February 19, 2024 Posted February 19, 2024 And it looks like he's holding on for dear life! Fabulous detail painting on the figure. David G. 1

Tony Coomer Posted March 22, 2024 Posted March 22, 2024 Very nice build. I will be using your technique on the funny car clip for a future build on the same kit…
