karbuildr Posted August 9, 2023 Posted August 9, 2023 (edited) This is an excellent kit, everything fits, no major issues at all. I've built a couple of them and it's one of my favorite kits. This is the custom version of the kit with custom wheels, tires and disc brakes, as well as a slightly lowered front suspension. It's painted in a nonstandard color using Testors enamel and the color is called Bug Yellow #1632. I swear that's the actual name. I decanted and airbrushed it. It's one of the nicest yellows I've ever used. I think the air cleaner might have come from the AMT Baldwin-Motion Camaro. I found it in my parts box and thought it looked pretty decent. I didn't bother with the outside rear view mirror since they always seem to get broken off, even when I pin them. Edited August 9, 2023 by karbuildr 10
AMT68 Posted August 9, 2023 Posted August 9, 2023 That is an extremely attractive yellow and an excellent build overall. I like the chromed look on the gas tank and exhausts.
Zippi Posted August 9, 2023 Posted August 9, 2023 Great looking 67 Chevelle. The tan interior colors go well withe the yellow body color.
TarheelRick Posted August 10, 2023 Posted August 10, 2023 Very pretty Chevelle, that yellow fits it so well. And as mentioned the tan interior is an excellent choice.
atomicholiday Posted August 10, 2023 Posted August 10, 2023 That's a sharp car. Really nice, clean build.
Rattlecan Dan Posted August 10, 2023 Posted August 10, 2023 Very sharp looking street machine. Very sassy. Nice job.
Street Rod Posted August 10, 2023 Posted August 10, 2023 Really sharp Chevelle! Nice clean build with excellent details. That is a very good shade of yellow, would look good on any hot/street rod.
Mittagskind Posted August 10, 2023 Posted August 10, 2023 (edited) That's an excellent build. Edited August 10, 2023 by Mittagskind
XYHARRY Posted August 10, 2023 Posted August 10, 2023 Very appealing street machine there David. I have the AMT pro street 67 Chevelle in my stash and your build has my head swimming with ideas for it. Well done on a clean build. Cheers, David. ??

espo Posted August 10, 2023 Posted August 10, 2023 Beautiful looking paint finish and trim. Like the engine and chassis detailing, great looking stance.
Chuckyg1 Posted August 10, 2023 Posted August 10, 2023 Good lord, I've. Been blinded?. Really nice build. It looks great in that color. I started this kit a while ago, but put it away for some reason. I many have to pull it back out.
karbuildr Posted August 11, 2023 Author Posted August 11, 2023 Craig, David and John, thanks for the compliments. Another of my favorite builds where everything worked out just as I wanted.

Bills72sj Posted August 13, 2023 Posted August 13, 2023 That looks sweet! Do you have a pic of the yellow paint bottle? Is it enamel or acrylic?
