jdhog Posted August 16, 2023 Posted August 16, 2023 My attempt at a 2WD Chevy Blazer conversion. I hacked up the chassis from the AMT C-1500 kit. Used the V8 out of that kit as well. It's a turd. Fought me the whole way with warpage and flash. Not my best job, but I'm proud that I stuck with it and "finished" it. I would show the undercarriage, but the turd would probably fall apart. It's resting on my shelf now where it will be until my kid or cat knocks it off. 5
espo Posted August 16, 2023 Posted August 16, 2023 Looks great. Sometimes the ones that fight you the hardest turn out better than you think. Like the paint and the wheels and tires go good with the stance. 1
ncbuckeye67 Posted August 18, 2023 Posted August 18, 2023 Looks great! Yours turned out way better than mine did. That top was so badly warped on mine, it looks terrible. 1

That top was so badly warped on mine, it looks terrible. I can relate. I used a hairdryer to heat it and gently straighten it. I worked on it slowly and had it pretty good and straight. By the time I got ready to mount it, it had re-warped itself a bit. I ended up gluing it to the truck and put some weight on top to hold it. Still didn't end up perfect. 1
ncbuckeye67 Posted August 18, 2023 Posted August 18, 2023 Yeah, that one definitely tests your skills & patience 1
NOBLNG Posted August 18, 2023 Posted August 18, 2023 Good thing that you stuck with it Joe. It looks good!?
XYHARRY Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 That is the shiniest, most well constructed turd I have ever seen. ? Well done Joe on your persistence for seeing it through to the end. Cheers., David. ?? 1
carrucha Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 It came out nice. Glad you stuck with it and finished it. 1
ewetwo Posted August 21, 2023 Posted August 21, 2023 Looks pretty nice for a turd. Right color. Was that planned?
