Built this 1/25 scale '77 Monte Carlo from the Revell release that was molded in bright green. Model has been painted in Dupli-Color Hampsted Green with Rust Oleum for the clear. I thought the color was a decent match for the Medium Green offered that year and generally have a particular liking for these mid 70's GM A-bodies in green.. The black rocker striping and bumper rub strips are from the vinyl sheet used on my previous build. This time around I applied the vinyl with canopy glue as opposed to white glue which seemed to provide a better bond particularly to the bumpers. For the body colored areas between the grill sections very thin strips of the vinyl were also used. And after priming and painting canopy glue was also used for attachment. I like the Rally wheels on these cars (along with the Turbine wheels) but decided to switch it up and went with the wire wheel covers from the AMT '65 Chevelle wagon with spare wheel backs from the AMT '66 Wildcat. I sanded down the thickness of the wheel covers to pull the tires inwards from the body but I still think the tires sit out a bit too far. So as always there is room for improvement.

Nice model, clean workmanship, I like the Monte Carlos too, even when GM downsized  the car , great job on the model.

Awesome build very clean and the color combo is perfect.!! I wish they would have done the first year with that body style the 73 it had the one big round headlight at the time my brother-in-law had one in the two-tone brown.

Nice build!  My body had a 74 or 75 MC with the round headlights back in the early 90's...we put tons of miles on that thing just cruising around!  Ah the good ole' days!  Nice work!

Great looking showroom build. The color does seem to match what Chevrolet offered at that time and the white interior and half roof look like a good combination. Smooth paint finish and the trim details look very realistic.
