‘39 Whiskey Wagon

Recommended Posts

Hello All, it’s been over a year since I have had a chance to get too the bench.  I wanted to just build something without driving myself crazy over the details.  I picked this kit up at the LHS and started building. My skills are rusty!  This will be out of the box, although I may try to flock the floor. I’ve never tried it. Why not

I also didn’t like the look of the hood with the sides, covering the engine. I took a deep breath and scribed along the body line and cut the sides off, so you can see the engine wither the hood on. I’ve always liked this look on a street rod

Thanks everyone!  I’m down to the little fiddle bits, which test my patience and my eyesight!  I mounted the bumpers, headlights  and gas cap (I should have pinned the gas cap).  This is first non 60’s musclecar I’ve built in a long time. It has been a challenge, especially because I have been away from building so far. I think all I have to do is finish the license plate \ tail light assembly and mount it.

thanks again for the kind words and inspiration!  More pics tomorrow
