To my eye, the 70 Challenger is one of the most beautifully proportioned cars of all time. No matter what viewing angle, it's just magic. A close second (another Mopar) is the 68 Charger.

Not a big fan of vinyl roofs but not much choice with this kit. This 2001 ERTL issue comes with a 'Shaker' intake and hood, convertible boot and these wheels all of which are not included with Round 2's recent Collector Tin re-issue. I found this out on hpiguys Workshop Youtube channel (to which I'm addicted) where he did a review/build a couple of weeks ago.

According to this kit's instructions, full size colour options for 1970 Dodge included 'Banana', 'Go Mango' and 'Plum Crazy' but unless I'm mistaken with my research, the actual paint colours were available that year, but those paint names weren't used till the following year. Assuming that's correct my Challenger is finished using artist's tube acrylics in Plum Iridescent and not Plum Crazy. Whatever the name, for a purple, it's a very appealing colour.

Bit tricky (Challenging?) getting body over chassis, but this kits fits together really nicely and looks the part.

Thanks for looking.
