Keef Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 As much as I hate to do it, I’m withdrawing from the race. Between work, home, and other things I haven’t had time to build like I had hoped. I got paint and mockups done but that’s as far as I got. Maybe I’ll finish it this coming year.
Spottedlaurel Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 Hoping to get mine finished, even if it's going to mean a busy couple of days on it this weekend.....
blue303 Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 Unfortunately, I'm not going to finish in time. The weather hasn't been cooperating with getting a decent paint job. I will finish the car and put it in a separate build thread.

W-409 Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 Several nicely done builds in this year's Cannonball! This is a great Community Build. Good luck to everyone that's still trying to finish their builds before the deadline. Interesting to see what the theme will be for next year. I'll also try to put something together for next year, this year I was not Cannonballin' because I have personally zero interest in building anything related to a restomod.
Spottedlaurel Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 This was where I was when I started earlier today: With exhaust and some other bits elsewhere. Lots of little bits done since , should be good for final assembly tomorrow..... 3
Lunajammer Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 Pretty clear I won't be finishing this year. No excuses, I just haven't been in a modeling mood for a while and my bench remains undisturbed. Usually, when I get like this it's best I leave things alone till I get the urge again down the line. I'm still checking in every day to see how this CBP plays out, so keep grinding.
tooltime-fan Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 I am afraid l won't reach finish line...again I think I had a good start, but then other things came up and time ran fast and faster. I will surely complete it but unfortunately not in time. Maybe next time I have more luck. Anyway...it was a peasure to race with you
Spottedlaurel Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 No photos, but body and floorpan are permanently united on my 240ZG and the engine has been fitted. Now for the fddly bits that can make or break it....

MeatMan Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 Hey gang! I'm posting this to show that I did finish my 57 Fairlane build, however it did not pass QC inspection. Therefore, I will not be posting it to the finished builds, so in essence I'm withdrawing. This kit has quite a few fit issues, and coupled with my own faux pas and distractions, made this more challenging than it should have been. In the end though, I had fun with it and learned a lot. Congrats to the finishers. 3
Spottedlaurel Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 Phew, just got mine done and photos posted. 1
White Rabbit Posted December 2, 2024 Author Posted December 2, 2024 Great job everyone! The Run is nearly complete. For those that have completed their entries or those that will, please ensure that photos are posted in the completed builds thread so that your entry will be in the voting poll opening on December 3rd.
tim08 Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 (edited) Ok done, struggled alot with this one. The chassis went together real nice, modified the exhaust, Think it came from a pickup kit, and detailed as much as I could. Painted it with tamiya metallic orange but totally failed on this body, so got onother kit and went with mica red I wanted to compare it with testors firey orange just to see the diff.Flakes are alot smaller in person with the tamiya , I like it. Too bad I ruined it. Well, here she is done int the mica red. Chrome is bare metal and revelle chrome. Got a 2010 camaro interior and engine. Alot of cutting on this one. The fuzz on the glass is the pesky flocking Edited December 3, 2024 by Tim08 3

I just didn't think it was worthy of a contest entry.
