Porsche 906-6 from the archives

The Porsche 906 is one of my favorites and was very pleased when Lindberg released their simple kit.  I built this one as raced at Le Mans in 1966 and was the Sports Class winner driven by Stommelen and Klass.

Looks good Gary, they were a nice basic kit but I don't recall them having a driver?

I love the 906, thanks Gary for taking this one out of the vault for us all to enjoy. I was aware of the LS/Arii kit but not of a Lindberg one. It definitely looks the part. I want to build one but the prices asked on Ebay for these are silly. Fernando has a nice resin kit so that's an option.

I was not aware of the prices in today's market.  But there are 1/24 options from just bodies to slot cars.  Not included in this photo is a Fernando resin kit which does include an engine.

I Really enjoyed seeing your 906. One of my favourite racing cars. I saw one race when it was quite new at the road circuit near Vancouver BC. My Fly 906 1/323 slot-car is perhaps my most satisfying slot car to race and it looks so good at speed.

Gary...I have this model and did it many years ago...probably box stock. Didn't think much of it as it sits in the back of the case.  But you have done a wonderful job of turning this kit into a very decent model.  Might have to dig mine out and re-do it after seeing yours.
