WillyBilly Posted May 5, 2024 Posted May 5, 2024 (edited) So I wanted to try my hand at patina. I think for my first time it is not too bad. I added a LS1/4L60E combo, and 17" rallies with a front drop. I have to dig in my junk yard for a radiator, master cylinder battery, and hoses. I put it up to the first one I did, and eventually it will be joined by the 4x4 version I am currently working on. The paint was four colors. Rust, grey, and green, and white. Sanded to patina, then clear coated with Testors lacquer dull coat. Edited May 5, 2024 by WillyBilly 11
espo Posted May 5, 2024 Posted May 5, 2024 Great looking finish on the body. Looks like it has spent to many summers at the oceans edge. Like the engine and wheel upgrades. The shinny wagon looks great as well.
ea0863 Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 You nailed the patina wonderfully! Now you've got me thinking about giving it a go. Thank you for sharing!
ncbuckeye67 Posted May 8, 2024 Posted May 8, 2024 That's pretty outstanding, for a first attempt. Very well done! I love this kit, and could build several of them.
NOBLNG Posted May 11, 2024 Posted May 11, 2024 Excellent job on the weathering!? And some nice healthy upgrades to the drivetrain too.?
Keef Posted May 11, 2024 Posted May 11, 2024 (edited) Love this!! I’m working on one right now but I did red primer/black primer/ undecided top coat Edited May 11, 2024 by Keef
