louis Carabott Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 Kit Gakken 1/16 scale and I honestly don't recommended it to anybody.....my swear jar really overflowed with this one 10
Rich Chernosky Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 Louis...I have built more than a few 1/16 kits from various manufacturers...mostly early Japanese. I can agree with you whole heartedly that they can be a real challenge to anyones modeling skills. But you have risen to that and created a beautiful model. I like it. Its a fact.....the more creative swear words you use .....the better the model turns out. Keep up the good work. 1 1
louis Carabott Posted May 18, 2024 Author Posted May 18, 2024 Rich you really gave me a real laugh and I agree the more swear words you use....the better the result lol lol
espo Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 Beautifully done with your usual standards. We have an old expression about " Making a silk purse out of a pig's ear". And here we are. 1
Jim B Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 Fantastic looking Mercedes. Looks like you fought the good fight and beat this one into submission. Very well done. 1
oldscool Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 I think it looks outstanding. A very brutal looking car to my eyes. 1
Yeah Nah Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 In spite of the ''aaagh!!'' factor you've still managed to produce a handsome model Louis. BTW, who gets to spend the contents of the swear jar? 1
Richard Bartrop Posted May 19, 2024 Posted May 19, 2024 Looks like your efforts were rewarded. Nicely done! 1

XYHARRY Posted May 19, 2024 Posted May 19, 2024 Beautiful Mercedes there Louis, I have heard on good authority that the Maltese language has some of the most creative swear words in the world (my mother is Maltese)lol.? Really well done and thanks for sharing. Cheers, David. ?? 1
louis Carabott Posted May 20, 2024 Author Posted May 20, 2024 ?? Hey David thanks for your kind comments including Maltese swear words lol lol lol 1
Andrew McD Posted May 20, 2024 Posted May 20, 2024 Wow! (expletives deleted) As a Navy veteran I know a few swear words that I may have to use if the result produces a model impressive as this one. You have built a very cool piece of art, an automotive sculpture. 1
ncbuckeye67 Posted May 20, 2024 Posted May 20, 2024 Whatever issues you had with this build; you've managed to create something amazing out of it! 1
Rattlecan Dan Posted May 20, 2024 Posted May 20, 2024 Fantastic job Louis. I built a JoHan 35 Mercedes (1st and last) and struggled to completion. I also used up my >*%#! vocabulary. Lol. Seriously, you did a fine job. Really nice-looking build. 1
70 Sting Posted May 21, 2024 Posted May 21, 2024 Despite whatever issues you encountered during this build, it looks pretty darn nice to my eyes! :^) 1
papajohn97 Posted May 21, 2024 Posted May 21, 2024 This Merc look’s so so good in that color. Great job on a timeless classic! 1
happy grumpy Posted May 22, 2024 Posted May 22, 2024 Judging by what I see, you sure were up to the challenge. Some kits can be rate very high on the swear-o-meter. Great job as always. 1
Bainford Posted May 24, 2024 Posted May 24, 2024 Despite the troubles, you have built a beautiful model. A wonderful combination of brutish and beautiful. Very nice work, and the Mercs of this era were simply stunning. Such gorgeous lines. Very well done. 1
ea0863 Posted May 24, 2024 Posted May 24, 2024 Quite possibly the most elegant car ever made Louis, and wonderfully executed by you as always! 1
