I got the interior painted and all the bright work has been stripped and re-chromed.  The re-chrome looks fairly decent.  I whole lot better than what it looked like out of the box.  I airbrushed it with the Molotow chrome.  The interior will get black inserts with chrome buttons and chrome ribbing around the outer edge.  Once the black and chrome is done I'll airbrush all the interior with a Matt clear.

Question for you fellows.  I've been thinking about the interior and just how to finish it.  Some pics I look at the interior looks nice and shiny but other pics it looks not so shiny.  So, once I get the black inserts painted should the interior get a Gloss or Matte finish?  Here's a Matte finish on a test piece up against the body for comparison.

My humble opinion, the inserts are cloth, and the rest is red vinyl. Not the shiny vinyl. Kind of semi-gloss sheen. I saw a tip on putting a shine on leather once. Paint it flat then lightly buff it out with a tissue. I'd keep the inserts kind of flat black. (I think they do have some kind of pattern to them). But as usual, whatever you do will probably look much better. Looking fine so far, my friend.

I would just put matte for a little bit of contrast. Just what I would do.

I hear ya man.  Thank's.

As Dan said, the inserts are cloth. The lone exception are the Convertable that has vinyl inserts. Of course this being a Belair coupe, black cloth.

And yep, a Matte or even satin finish would be good on the rest of the seats.

I hear ya Buddy.  I think I'm going with the Matte finish like I thought from the get go.

I got some paint on the interior.  Still needs a lot of touch up and some door handles chromed.

Nice choice with the interior! The 57 chevy has the coolest of the tri five chevy interior.

Thanks man.  The black and red always looks good on a 57 Chevy.

I like the color combination, bold. The way it would have been back then.

Nice trim work too, the piping on the seats really sets off the color contrasts.

Thank's David.  I was going for a stock interior and I think I did alright.

I got the interior installed, all the glass is now in place, and the front grille has been painted gold and installed.  I got the licence plate fitted and the front and rear "V" painted gold.  I can see the light at the end of the tunnel fellows.

Really like how this build is looking. All the little details make it look all that much better.

Not sure how I missed this build, but it is some seriously beautiful work. I think I still have this kit, need to look through my stash and see. And if you do not mind I would like to display my red ride - Ford Race Red. Supposedly the similar Chevrolet color is 'Pull Me Over Red'.
