Dennis Lacy, that is looking fantastic, I love the colors!

Do you need the little decals for the blower?

Inside Joke, RRR keeps reminding ADL that he needs the decal, too! -KK

Thanks! I have the decals but I think I’m going to paint the W engine color. Again, when I can remember to bring the can home! ?

Had more time today and got the interior assembled except for the pedals because I forgot to paint them. Very happy with the finished look. I’ve gone as far as I can now until the body gets painted. ?

So, I decided to reenter this. I have about six or seven projects that I am trying to complete for the ACME show, so what's one more? LOL. I love me a good challenge, so I decided to see what I can do in two weeks. I am going to use the body I chopped when this thread started. It will sit on a Phantom Vicky chassis, which will most likely have independent suspension on all four corners.

The interior is from back then too.

The engine is going to be the SBF from the Tudor kit, but with the manual transmission from the Phantom Vicky kit, topped with some trick cross ram intake with four carbs. The quick change in the picture is plan B to the IRS.

This is not going to be "traditional rod" by any means. I want a nasty, aggressive "show-me-what-you've-got" attitude. Evidenced by my choice of wheels.

Update on my Tudor. Had some time today. Got the frame and a few other parts polished and waxed with Adam’s Correcting Polish and Buttery Wax then assembled the chassis. It’s finished except for a few small details. I want to paint the brake calipers to match the engine but keep forgetting to bring the spray can home. ? Like any good hot rod builder, I couldn’t resist setting the body on the chassis for a look. Speaking of the body, hope to have it in finished paint by next weekend. ?

I tried to have mine finished for today, and it is, EXCEPT for tail lights, yes tail lights have stumped me!

I worked most of the day trying to modify, scratch build, and fit some, but NO, can't seem to get simple round tail lights!

I'm working on them, but I have to quit for the evening, so I'm sure I'll finish tomorrow!

I know that the deadline has been extended, but I wanted to finish for today, those tail lights, all the heavy modifications on this build and I'm stumped over tail lights!

I feel your pain. That has happened to me too before. Where something simple and trivial is just fighting me for no apparent reason and preventing me from finishing a project. I am currently having a similar issue with a simple distributor, which has stalled the entire build.

I did it!

I found two washers and these little "jewels" so I painted them clear red, and filled the holes in the washers with canopy glue and let them dry overnight on plastic that I hoped would let me remove them without being stuck, and it worked!

They're just simple round tail lights, but because I moved the plate up so high, to cover my gas filler, I needed something like these, so they're super glued on now, like 'em or not!

Cheers!

Okay, I'm calling this one done on October 15th!

It was a lot of fun participating in the build-off, so many cool sedan builds, congratulations to all those who finished and those who still will finish.

Cheers!

Paint is practically complete except for a few minor bits to touch up, like instrument insert and steering wheel trim. I still need to foil the windshield frame. Soon the assembly process will begin.

Cheers
