KWT Posted August 4, 2024 Posted August 4, 2024 Revell release of the Monogram '64 GTO Paint is Tamiya Metallic Gray covered in Tamiya Clear Blue and topped off with Tamiya Clear Only issue is getting the grill/bumper to set while the glue dries. But straight up, it's a nice kit. I will probably grab another one sometime down the road. As always, thanks for looking... On the next... hopefully... 8
KWT Posted August 4, 2024 Author Posted August 4, 2024 Just for S&G, i decided to practice my photo taking. Used the macro lens for the first time ever. 7
Jim B Posted August 4, 2024 Posted August 4, 2024 Great looking G.T.O. Very well done. I like the Clear Blue over the grey. 2
rrb124@sbcglobal.net Posted August 4, 2024 Posted August 4, 2024 Great Goat! I built that kit decades ago. The exhaust splitters always look sharp on those cars. 1
Hard_2_Handle_454 Posted August 4, 2024 Posted August 4, 2024 Looks good. I'd like to get another at some point. I screwed up a little bit on my first one. 1

espo Posted August 4, 2024 Posted August 4, 2024 As I mentioned in your WIP, the paint work on this looks great. Nice to see this done in a showroom style as they were long ago. 1
rrb124@sbcglobal.net Posted August 5, 2024 Posted August 5, 2024 I don't have the whole original issue Monogram GTO kit anymore. But - I still have the engine somewhere in my stash. I tried to make the Tri Power fuel lines from scratch. I drew pen and ink diagrams from magazine pictures. It turned out to be kind of a mess! In 1964 we didn't have anything to buy to do a good job of replication. You were pretty much on your own. 1
rrb124@sbcglobal.net Posted August 5, 2024 Posted August 5, 2024 I remember that the original issue Monogram GTO in 1/24 seemed huge. It's almost like a 1/20 kit.
XYHARRY Posted August 5, 2024 Posted August 5, 2024 Very nice job on the one that started it all, really well done Jeremy. Cheers, David. ?? 1

Steve H Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 Nice looking GTO Jeremy. That colour is tasty on it! She looks like she just rolled off the dealership showroom. The macro lens experiment turned out good too. I just got a new phone, haven’t played with the camera yet… Cheers, Steve 1
Rattlecan Dan Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 Very nice job! Great natural and realistic look. 1

bogger44 Posted August 8, 2024 Posted August 8, 2024 Sharp looking build, been some time since I've seen one built. I gotta remember transparent blue over metallic grey as I love how that looks, and it suits very well on the GTO. 2
PappyD340 Posted August 10, 2024 Posted August 10, 2024 Super nice GTO, color really pops, well done! 1
