Justin Porter Posted August 25, 2024 Posted August 25, 2024 What fun this was! I cannot say enough what a delightful build the Tamiya classic sports cars are. I only added plug wires to the Twin Cam with this, and am planning another build to take advantage of USCP's freshly released 3D print detail set. Paint is Rosso Corsa from the new Cobra Motors line of automotive acrylics from AMMO by Mig under Gunze GX112 UV Cut Super Clear. 12
Jim B Posted August 25, 2024 Posted August 25, 2024 Cool Alfa Romeo. Don't see many of those. Well done. 1
Matt Bacon Posted August 25, 2024 Posted August 25, 2024 Lovely job. That big snake is pretty much mandatory with these, I reckon… best, M. 1
espo Posted August 25, 2024 Posted August 25, 2024 Great looking paint finish and like that you included the Alfa hood emblem. Like the clean detailed finishes. 1
karbuildr Posted August 25, 2024 Posted August 25, 2024 Very nice, looks good in red, one of those kits I didn’t even know existed. 1
DJMar Posted August 25, 2024 Posted August 25, 2024 Very nice finish on this little beauty! I really like the interior colors. Sweet build. 1
beeRS Posted August 26, 2024 Posted August 26, 2024 Beautiful Alfa there. It looks stunning in red. I especially like the addition of all the ignition cables - you made a really neat job of that. 1
rrb124@sbcglobal.net Posted August 26, 2024 Posted August 26, 2024 Looking forward to getting and building this model. I restored and owned a real 1974 year GTV (the 4 headlight version) in 1993. Tamiya has done the usual great job on this kit. It has 2 Weber carbs like my real one did. 1
rrb124@sbcglobal.net Posted August 26, 2024 Posted August 26, 2024 Great job on the crazy twin plug ignition wires! What was your source for them please? 1

Thank you to everyone! Wiring the engine was a combination of drilling the kit supplied twin coils, an Iceman Collections predrilled V8 distributor (modified to accept a second coil wire), a pack of Gofer gray ignition wire with boot material, and some 0.3mm solder for the tie wraps. 1
Rich Chernosky Posted August 26, 2024 Posted August 26, 2024 Justin...that turned out great and looks good on the shelf with your other masterpieces. 1
XYHARRY Posted August 27, 2024 Posted August 27, 2024 Very nice Alfa Romeo there Justin, lots of nice detail work. Really well done. Cheers, David. ?? 1
rrb124@sbcglobal.net Posted August 27, 2024 Posted August 27, 2024 Got my kit last night. Opened it up and looking good ? 1
1959scudetto Posted August 27, 2024 Posted August 27, 2024 Very nice build of one of my all-time favorites, Justin ( I have 3 in my stash since the 1990's) - excellent also your sportscar gathering: is that a Gunze SWB? 1

Yes it is! That's the Gunze High Tech kit which was a fantastic demonstration of why I should have tracked down an Italeri SWB instead! 1
Chinacar Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 Sweet little car. Everything seems so naturally put together on it. Well done, congratulations! 1
Rattlecan Dan Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 Cool and classy. Holds its own as a Euro hot rod. Nice work. 1
