When I watch the video, go to Hobby Lobby or to a show and there is nothing I need (keep in mind nobody actually “needs” a model kit) I don’t get all huffy, I thank my lucky stars that I already own all the models I’d like to own!  Think about that for a minute.

Good point. What I find so often is that I've already built models that are being reissued so I just sigh and move on.

I could easily double that but, my wife has cancelled all our credit cards, blocked all model websites and keeps me locked in the house.

PLUS, a baseball bat. She's right ! It's a sickness!

Seriously though, I'm in my 70's, unless I live to be 100 I can never build them. I have no kids, nobody to leave them to.

BUT....just one more kit........?

My ex used to have nightmares about little cars rolling all over her.

I'm still hoping for stuff, like MPC Pontiacs, 65 Monaco, Buicks, Lincolns etc. to be revived as was the 64 Cutlass.

I completely agree with your tastes!!

*The MPC full size Pontiacs were revised every year from 66-70. We have the end of the line 70.

*The MPC 65-66 full size Dodges were heavily revised into a custom car. Probably gone

*We have the 66 Wildcat (which still has the 65 dash in it) and the 66 Skylark was modified into a stock car which we still have.

*We have the end of the line 65 Lincoln (would love to see a sedan version). The end of the line 69 is probably gone (I would be happy to be wrong).

The 64 Cutlass was an interesting case as the tooling for everything except the stock body, bumpers and glass was intact. It was a great clone project as only a few components were needed to result in a complete kit. (I bought a ton of each version and I love building them)

Actually my wife is great and totally supportive of my hobby! I was joking!

I bought a resin 68 Pontian from MCW, haven't gotten it yet.

As for Dodges, I have three 65 Monaco's I found in a bulk hoard purchase. 90% complete!

We have more than enough 7-72 Cudas, Chargers, Chevelles, RR's, Mustangs, Camaro's and ALL muscle cars! Can we move on please.

Buicks, Olds, Chryslers etc, wagons, 4 doors etc?

Got my bank card ready!

I honestly don't understand the amount of negative replies to these videos. I think it's a great way to announce upcoming (re-)issues.

Modelers in the social media age (of all genres) have become uncapable of not screaming from the roof tops about things they're not going to buy.  I don't understand it either.  But this is a monthly thing here and is really Pre-K/Day Care level of griping compared to the commentary Round2 gets on YouTube and Facebook when they post these updates.

You should have seen the whine-fest that opened when I shared Atlantis' photos of the opened up Revell "60" really a 59 Corvette tool. People crying "don't reissue that, it's the WORST kit ever!"

It's actually a very good kit.

Oh, here's the photos.

The more often I look at that (ex) Revell Corvette, the more I end up thinking it's the best one out there, or very nearly so.  The SMP/AMT one was the promo, but the body sides are a bit flat among other things.  MPC's body is pretty decent, but it has the '57 interior bucket.  Every Pro Modeler '58 or '59 I have seen seems to have the chassis hanging out too much underneath.  That old Revell one has a couple of small things to fix, but the built ones I have seen all look "right".
