Finally, finished. Another gift kit from my son. Not my best work, but considering the condition of the kit, I'm okay with it. This so far has been the most poorly molded kit I've ever built. The dies were really offset, leading to some wonky, warped parts. And the really weird thing is, I built this same exact kit when Testors released it when I was a kid and don't remember it being difficult. I also built the Lotus Ford at the same time and have that one to build now as well, and it looks poorly molded too. It was almost fifty years ago, so memory is a bit spotty.

I modified the body to look somewhat like Mario Andretti's Sebring winner. The MPC kit would have been a better choice to start with. Tamiya paint, Starfighter, and Indycal decals. Thanks for looking!

Tim...considering the age of the molds I think you did a decent job on this.  I built this kit when IMC first released it and needless to say it sits in the back of the case hidden behind some better builds.  I have re-visited this kit and have one in the works. Its at the final assembly stage but will have to wait until I finish a project I am already deeply involved in.  I like your version.

Very nice work and modifications for the Sebring version.  Ive built the IMC and MPC MKIVs and they are not easy but for a fifty plus year old kit it looks great.

Yep, your model turned out real nice. I built the red version many years ago and I seem to remember it was no picnic. Thanks for sharing.

Tim, this is as good as it gets (with that bad kit you had to start with) - I built this one in the late 80's (Union reissue) and it was the worst-fitting kit I can remember. Good choice to build it as the Sebring winner!

Lovely Ford. Such a great looking race car. I have not built this kit, but I built the Mk I many years ago and it was a struggle. You wrestled a great looking model from this old kit. Very nice work.
