jaymcminn Posted October 25, 2024 Posted October 25, 2024 Italeri released an update with some test shot pics. Looks like December availability. Starting to get pretty excited for this one! https://www.italeri.com/en/article/840 9
rrb124@sbcglobal.net Posted October 25, 2024 Posted October 25, 2024 That is going to be over the top. So much detail and bright markings. Have owned 8 actual Italian cars. Always a fan. 1
Big John Posted October 25, 2024 Posted October 25, 2024 (edited) Love the hood pin clips on the photo etch sheet! Edited October 25, 2024 by Big John
Jordan White Posted October 26, 2024 Posted October 26, 2024 This is going to make the Otaki/Doyusha kit look like an ancient Revell kit! ? 1
Bill Eh? Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 I'm thinking the Otaki/Doyusha kits will still be desirable to some. However, with this kit pending others will be finding their way to sites like eBay before their desirability becomes diminished.
DJMar Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 Wow! ?? I've been mulling over he purchase of Italeri's Delta HF 16v kit, but this gives me some pause. I'm not sure which one I'd rather build first.
niteowl7710 Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 (edited) Heh..I do find it amusing that this kit is supposed to be released in a month or so and they're using CAD teasers instead of actual parts...or even a built test/production shot of the models. I wonder if that isn't to try to...for lack of a better term - trick - people into buying it sight unseen. A number of Italeri's new tools across the spectrum of their ranges have been critiqued for bad dimensions or odd/bad engineering choices. Edited October 27, 2024 by niteowl7710

Wonder where their tooling is done, in-house or nearby vendor? Same for Heller.
jaymcminn Posted November 28, 2024 Author Posted November 28, 2024 It's up for sale on Italeri's site. Too bad they don't seem to ship directly to the US, but it should be available through retailers that do ship here soon. 1
YellowHound Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 It looks like this is now imminent. Hiroboy might have their first order over the next couple of weeks.
YellowHound Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 Apparently now in stock at Jadlam (in the UK). My amazing wife has bought one for me as my Xmas gift. Can't remember when I was last this excited about my Xmas gift.... Hopefully mine will arrive next week.
YellowHound Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 Landed on my doorstep a little while ago. Not allowed to peruse it 'til Xmas day but did have a quick check of contents....
Bugatti Fan Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 I saw all the shots of the Stratos parts at IPMS UK Scale Modelworld at Telford in November. They looked really good. A friend of mine built their Integrale and spoke highly of it. Every reason to think the Fulvia will be just as good. Now, how about that Lotus Cortina Mk1 road and rally car in 1/12th scale Italeri?
