That's a colour, alright... 😁

Me, I'd go satin... but that's me.

It would certainly save time 🤓

Great color!

Yeah, thanks Carl. I thought so too.  I think it would have worked better as a metallic or a pearl, though. I think maybe this color would look better as a monochrome treatment on an '90s era car. Right next to "Pepto Bismol Pink."

Would look good on a late 80 or early 90’s custom van but it far from Pepto Bismol..

I think it's a great color, no joke!

Seriously though Jim, excellent body mods on this one and I do think the color is cool but it could do with some kind of accent somewhere. Though probably not bright green.  :D

Yeah, it needs something. It was an experiment, David, and I'm still playing with some ideas on how to improve the balance. The car may get some white pinstriping if I can find something appropriate in my decal stash.  Flames are always welcome.  I'll see what I can find. Still much to do yet on this one. Thanks for sharing the Joker with us 😎.

LOVE the wild color choice!!  You did a great job on the body mods as well!...

Here is the one currently awaiting finishing on my bench, I turned it into a tudor sedan while chopping it, I finished it in '56 Ford Sunset Coral. Thanks for letting me share it!

You did a helluva nice job flowing the back window on yours, and using the stock hubcaps and rings is the crowning touch IMO.

Thanks, Jay. Have you got a thread going on yours?

No sir, it's a project I need to pick back up on and get done though.

I'm sorta familiar with that situation 😂

I like the way you reconfigured the roof, Jay. You were wise to keep the chop mild. The proportions look right.

Interiors are not my favorite thing but this is a kustom so I felt obligated to do some work. The dash is finished and it already needs a repaint. It's worn through from handling.  Oh well. The detail on the door panels was nearly nonexistent so my only realistic option was tuck & roll (well......okay,  just rolls 😔). I shaved the tub sides of all obstacles and sanded them down so I can cover them with new upholstery.

IMG_8139.jpg.3c4c5097e255bae7c65081ddecb44bae.jpg I'm using .010 sheet for door cards stiffened horizontally with .080 half round across the top and added the sweep below it with .060, also used for the vertical rolls. I added a pad to mount the armrest and decided the handle could share the space too.

(What about power windows?...buttons on the console, right?) Yeah. Save some work 😉.

Here we have a tribute to the celebrated "George Barris" edition (blue arrow. Pretty cool, huh?)  That George Barris approved, trend-setting, self-stick, faux engine-turned holographic body enhancement came in handy after all. Yellow arrow: "Greg Handle" blank.

I'm still working on the handles but it's pretty hard to... uh....handle (no pun intended 😕) these tiny things.  it should be explained that the inside handles are there in case the solenoid system fails while the car is occupied 🥴.

The scheme will be white and purple and I need to come up with a console. The floor may get purple embossing powder but I need to experiment with it first. That's all for now, thanks for checking in! 🤓

Fabulous work on those door cards Jim. Did you use CA or solvent for attaching the pleats. I did a small experiment a while back and Tamiya thin really warped the thin evergreen backing template.

I used Tamiya thin (it could be another solvent cement in that nice square stable bottle) to bond the .040 half-round to the .010 sheet. I stiffened the cards with the horizontal elements first and maybe it helped to keep the "curling" to a minimum. Fabulous is a bit strong, Greg, but thanks.

Nice work on the interior, love the prism tape!

Gah, I miss the Seventies!  :D

Thanks, Dave, I miss the '70s myself. For other reasons. 😉
