It’s coming along nicely. I really like that engine!

Thanks Greg.  I'm a happy camper with how the engine turned out.

Thanks Carl.  I think problems just pop up for no reason just to keep me on my toes 😁

I finally got some good weather so I'm out in the garage this morning doing a little 3D printing and I got the 2K Clear airbrushed on the 41 Willy's PU.  I'm very pleased with how it turned out.  I'll let it set for a few days then give it a good polishing and waxing.

Thanks Dave.  I wasn't to sure about the color when I painted it but I think it suites this build just fine.

That paint polished out beautifully. Nice work👍👍

Much appreciated John.  That is just the paint.  I have to let it set for at least 3-4 days before I can polish and wax it.

That's one slick paint job. Very impressive. I was scrolling through on break, gotta learn to slow down and thoroughly read things. Absolutely beautiful work.👍👍

Bob, thank you for your service. Love your duct tape comment in your signature block. What was your career field in the Air Force?

, also, USAF veteran ATC Radar maintenance and ANG C130 hell hole avionics type.

I thank you Buddy and thank you for your service as well.  I was a Power production Specialist.  It was a dual AFSC.  I could either work at the base power plant or on the flight line maintaining the Barrier systems.  I worked on the flight line.  I'll bet that was a crazy job you had.

My craziest was when I would have to hike to the intersection of the Active runway with the SAC alert pad taxiway to check on our ground reflectors. Made no difference how closely you coordinated with the Command Post a security detail would come screaming up in their blue pickups and I would be facedown in the grass feeling that M-16 muzzle pressing my Atlas joint and listening to the SPs giggle! Yes, those were the days LOL

I hear ya.  One time we were going into a restricted area on the runway where the SR-71 was housed and we got put on the ground the same way.  Even though our badges were outlined in red for restricted areas it didn't include that area.  What an experience.

I got the ole 41 Willy's PU all polished up this morning and I've started the assembly.  I also did a little 3D printing this morning of some quick change rear ends and distributor caps.

Thanks Carl.  Yeah, I think this color is fitting for the ole Willy's.

I had forgot about the hinges on the doors.  Those little nubs that were on the hinges were just not going to work.  I cut some 1/8" hinge pins from a 0.40 paperclip, drilled the holes and I think it'll work pretty good.
