slusher Posted January 19 Posted January 19 I have really been enjoying your build, excellent scratch work! 1
Steve H Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Lots of fantastic scratch building Dennis! Nicely done. 1
dino246gt Posted January 23 Author Posted January 23 I have 2 of the 3D printed Webers and 2 that Greg resin cast for me, so now I'm working on fuel lines and linkages. Well only fuel lines so far, tiny pieces and tiny drill bits! I've sprayed them with Revell chrome but no pictures yet as I'm letting them dry and my eyes heal! LOL 1
dino246gt Posted February 27 Author Posted February 27 (edited) Some of you know from another post that I lost the use of my hands a few weeks ago, HOPEFULLY only a temporary thing, they're so swollen that I can't hold anything. So, this Merc was my latest, hopefully not my last, project. I was saving this much progress to make a series but I'll just post it now, because I like to keep in touch with you all. This is where the chopped '64 Merc project stands, 351 Windsor, 4 Webers, Tremac 6-speed. Cheers, NO SYMPATHY please, just model comments! Edited March 1 by dino246gt 6 1
Maindrian Pace Posted February 27 Posted February 27 Are you sure it's not running in that photo? I mean, who else does coil wiring(!) 1

SpikeSchumacher Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Excellent! Hope to see more in time. All the best! 1

NOBLNG Posted March 1 Posted March 1 Fantastic work on that engine Dennis! Glad those carbs worked out for you…they look better than I could have imagined.😎 1
dino246gt Posted March 1 Author Posted March 1 Greg, thanks so much for the carbs, yeah they look as good as the originals.
Codi Posted March 1 Posted March 1 Dennis, I admit today was the first day I checked out this thread and I'm glad I did. Fantastic scratch-building and thinking outside the box on this build. Will be sure to follow your future posts too. Cheers, tim 1
