Congratulations

Per my older brother who waa born on the 21 you get screwed over.  You never get to have your day. Our older sister was born 0n the 4th of Jan (yes they are true Irish twins born in the same year) says the same thing about Birthday parties. I tell them to get over it.

BOTH! With a bday five days from Christmas I've gotten plenty of "here's something and it's for both your bday and xmas". Always felt a little cheated. Just my two cents.

Congratulations!!

My daughter in law was born on the 23rd. She insists the two days be treated separately. Only birthday wrapping paper on the 23rd, birthdaycake, bithday card, etc. I get it. Like the rest of us, she wants to celebrate HER day, not get lost in the "spirit" of the season.

Don't let anybody  cheat him out of his birthday !

My sister was born on the 23rd and growing up I always H A T E D  trying to explain  to her why everybody  only gave her 1 gift.

My brother and I both made sure she got a birthday present,  and a Christmas present.

The rest of my cheapskate relatives can take a long walk off a short pier!

Congrats on the grandchild. My birthday is the 18th, a week before Christmas. Growing up I always got a cheapie gift for my birthday because "Christmas is next week". My son's birthday is the 28th. My wife and I always make sure his birthday is just as special as someone's birthday that's not around Christmas.

Again, congrats on the grandchild.

Thanks for all of your comments. They do mean a lot to me. I think that the cutoff date should be the day that he gets his driver's license

Thanks

Congratulations on your grandchild. My birthday is also 12/20 but in 1954. It sucks being a December baby.

A December birthday.   I have one, but it was always treated as a stand alone event from Christmas.

My late mother in law's was on Christmas Eve, but we made sure it was also treated as an individual celebration.
