Last one for 2024!  Monogram kit.  Straight OOB.  The paint is Testors square bottle "Metallic Red".  The interior is MM "Wimbledon White".  This will be a belated Xmas gift for a buddy.

I gotta get my hands one one of those; I did build the Surf Shark '59, but I like the regular car one better. Yours is totally awesome, love the colour and detail. Quick question was there a hardtop model too or just the conviertible?

Thanks, Nathan! There is a hardtop version as well. They are great kits and fun to build.

Nice job! I think you may have given me the motivation to track one of these kits down for myself...hmmm!

Thanks, James!  I say go for it. It is not an "easy" kit, but it goes together well and fits good. I have done the hardtop and this convertible, and I enjoyed both.

Very nice build. Cleanly done. The engine bay is perfect. Nice job on the chrome trim. Did you use the kit supplied chrome? 20240123_124344.thumb.jpg.1a4e6f7d117e4f65de96f18943a74de1.jpg20240123_124525.thumb.jpg.d23589616dc3922f0281152d8dbeb326.jpgCoincidentally. I'm  currently building the hard top with a similar color combo. Here's a couple of pics of the interior. I'm waiting on warm weather to prime/paint.

Thanks, John!  I did not use the kit chrome, I used BMF. (A lot of BMF)  Trying to get those stickers to line up seemed like an accident waiting to happen to me. I like your two tone interior, it's more accurate to the real car. I just liked the look of straight white.

That last build for the year is a nice one Hugh.  I really like these Big ole land yachts.  Nicely done man.
