Erik Solie Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Another one getting close to completion. This kit should be coming in March/April 2025 14 2
gtx6970 Posted January 7 Posted January 7 What would be the difference between this and the earlier issues of said kit ? Engine maybe ?
dragsterguy Posted January 7 Posted January 7 (edited) B/FX would be the small block, the 289. This car still exists, it was restored years ago. Edited January 7 by dragsterguy 3
tim boyd Posted January 7 Posted January 7 (edited) This is really great news. The changes vs. the A/FX kit are more extensive than you might imagine. Moebius sent me a test shot a number of years ago that included a number of the B/FX parts and I was surprised at the differences. I'm sure Erik and the Moebius team will reveal the details appropriate, as they may (or probably) have changed or evolved to a vs. the original test shot status I observed. Yeah! Reegs Posted January 10 Posted January 10 One more "Told the wife it's the last model I'm ever going to buy". Sheesh. 2 3
dragsterguy Posted January 10 Posted January 10 There are a bunch or accurate drag racing kits now, thanks to Moebius ! A missing link for years, the 65 Dodge and Plymouth kits have really filled a void. Along with the Atlantis kits things are looking good! Glad to see these by a plastic manufacturer instead of sometimes iffy and pricey aftermarket vendors. Vendors can focus on other parts! SORRY, this is my feeling! After YEARS of buying I now ( in the last year) have been outright cheated three times! Sorry modeling has come to this after so many years of honesty> THANKS to the above companies! 1
MeatMan Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Made my own a couple of years ago. Might still get this one and do the decals. 1
papajohn97 Posted July 17 Posted July 17 I noticed this kit is now available at a number of dealers. If anyone out there has already grabbed one (or has seen a review posted), I would love to see photo(s) of the available engine part runners (is a 289 with the webers included or is it just the 427 cammer from the A/FX kit?).
Justin Porter Posted July 18 Posted July 18 Just came in at my shop and I cam confirm the Weber equipped 289! 3 1

Ragtop Man Posted Saturday at 02:19 PM Posted Saturday at 02:19 PM Box art just grabbed me, and it followed me home! Looking forward to an A-B comparison with the AFX. Resisting the urge to blow up my Craftsman '64 and make a monument to overcomplicateditis.
Robberbaron Posted Sunday at 06:29 PM Posted Sunday at 06:29 PM If the box art is accurate, looks like this one has a different grille without the extra trim piece that was in the factory stock '65 version. I didn't buy the AF/X versions, but from pictures I've seen online, I think those also had the same grille with the added trim. So this may be the first time this grille has been offered by Moebius? Looking at pictures of 1:1's online, that grille trim seems to be hit or miss. But I think it may have been standard only on Cyclones. But I also see quite few pictures of Cyclones without it, so I'm guessing it's easily removed in 1:1. Maybe someone more familiar with these cars can chime in.

My recollection of the test shot I received from Moebius back in the mid 2010s was that there were more changes than just the engine between the B/FX vs. A/FX kits. Well worth a complete A vs. B comparison when you guys actually get the final production version...TB
