Mark Posted March 7 Posted March 7 2004 reissue would have been an SSP item. The box art would closely resemble that of the original issue, which didn't exactly stick out.

The most recent issue was 4WD, it looked as though it was a GMC Syclone with the S-10 grille. I really hope this is the 1/25th plastic kit. I missed out on them originally and the last few years I wanted to build one.

Sure lucky that years ago when the Pay Less Drug stores were all closing I picked up three of the Syclone kits, two of the S-10/ Lowrider, and four of the last Revell stock releases of the original '56 Ford F-100 kits all for $1.99 each. Now if I can remember what big box out of the 40-50 to pick from, bet I will start putting contents sheets on the end of each box when I am repacking them this time 1

That’s only if you assume 1/25th scale. If you switch it with 1/24th scale, the 1983 BMW 7 series (E23) U.S. version is 197.4” long which scales to about 8.2” inches in 1/24th scale which equals about 208mm. 1

stavanzer Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Anybody up for a High Roller S-10, or a Lowrider Chevy Luv? I'd think a Lowrider Luv, might actually be pretty Kool. Hard to do with the parts in the kit, but Kool.
niteowl7710 Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Hopefully this will go some ways in alleviating the concerns about the contents of this kit. Since I immediately saw a bunch of folks on social media convinced it would be some variation of already existing old tooling rather than the next variant of the new tool Blazer. I do appreciate the "Retro Box Art" as it does match the styling of the High Roller LUV kit as well. 8 2

StanGlover Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Ok Revell, next variant on the Blazer needs to be an ‘86 Silverado package Blazer on Rallye wheels, so I can build my high school ride! Or maybe a C-10 Silverado for variety, so I could swap grills with the ST Blazer and get a work truck C-10… 1
stavanzer Posted April 6 Posted April 6 That is going to be great! Now I need both kits. I'll build a GMC Sheriff's Blazer, and a Chevy Rock Crawler.
Mark C. Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Looking forward to some more info on this one. I hope there will be parts for a stock version included in the kit.
Radretireddad Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Cool! I think I’ll skip the ST Blazer and wait for this one.

Looks like all you'd need would be smaller tires. It probably uses spacers for the lift so drop those, the light bar and whatever you call the tubes under the doors. Get a set of stock size tires and that's it. Those wagon wheels were even an available option on GM 4X4s in '85 I was really hoping for a set of stripe decals that separate the 2-tone you'd see them in a lot.
Mark C. Posted April 7 Posted April 7 Right-o, Steve. Thanks for the rundown. I had assumed it would have a bunch of aftermarket off-road parts substituted for the stock parts, but it sounds like it will be a stock kit with an extra sprue or two added? A 2wd option would be nice…😁

Last time I looked the site said they'd be available on the 6th. 1 1

Radretireddad Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Has this kit been ruled out as the mysterious next ST release from Revell? 1

stavanzer Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Rumor from Revell is that the new kit has 75-78 parts. Many fewer than this Bimmer has. 1

Well that's not a new tool now is it? 🤣 Plus the car in the Stranger Things is an 8 Series, not a 7 Series.
