Just finished up this Academy 1/48 scale kit my wife had given me for Christmas. It’s a great kit that was a fun build that looks good displayed with my other warbirds. I will say and I’m probably one of the few that I’m not a big fan of PE parts. All paint is Tamiya spray cans except for the tail section which is a mix of Apple Barrel acrylics brushed on. Thanks for looking and any feedback welcomed.

That looks great. I'm a big fan of those colorful prewar paint schemes.

It looks GREAT.I have been a fan of BI -Wing planes forever. Is there going to be a BI-Wing Bomber coming soon?

Mike

Thanks Michael! Not sure about the bi-wing bomber, keep our fingers crossed. 🤞

Think that is the accurate miniatures kit. 👍👍

You pulled off a great job with that bird Keith. Sometimes PE can be kind of rough but it does add a bit more depth into a build. Have you tried the Quinta Studios 3D decals for instrument panels and cockpit details on some of these birds? Wanna talk about adding a whole new level of detail in the pit area!! I used to use PE for instrument panels and consoles but with these Quinta Decals.....that is a thing of the past.

This is some outstanding work on this F3F here bud.

Thank you kindly Joe! I’ll have to look into those 3D decals.

Came out great and I tend to agree with you regarding PE parts.  I've used some that worked out well but more often the tiny little bits are just too small to work with.  Any little handling error and they fly off in the never-regions of the carpet never to be seen again.
