67 F at 6 AM and sticky... again. Shaping up to be a nice day. The plants all look happy.

Definitely good pool weather. I have to do some vegetable garden weeding once the lawn sprinklers are done.

The iPhone weather app [bleep] is useless:

This is an 8 inch rain, between drops. 🤪 They were big too!  For about 15 seconds.  The little blue dot is Dewey, which got nailed with hail over 1" diameter.

It did rain a little, less than 1/4".  I got a got shower on the walk to the field bench.

There are several lightning caused wildfires at the moment.

Went hiking on Mingus Mountain this morning.  We had the rain blow through over two days, now it's sunny.  Some areas are getting green.  It had rained over one inch in small areas, not at this spot.

It was 94 and 60% humidity in Boston yesterday but thankfully, thunderstorms came through overnight with a cool front in tow. Low 70s and cloudy is on tap for today. I was sweaty as anything yesterday when I got home from a hot school bus but I felt much better after taking a good shower and drinking plenty of water.

We were told that it was going to be a wet Monsoon, so far only very small areas are getting measurable amounts.  Yesterday, my mechanic worked on wiring, got the car on ramps and jack stands, then thunder.   It rained just a little, enough to make everything dirty.   Today 10% chance, might hit 99ºF.

So windows and top down is not enough, must make immobile too. 😅

We're into one of the standard southeastern summer weather patterns now: hot humid days with popup thunderstorms most every afternoon.

Cool (lower 70s) but very humid nights.

Mold and mildew and rust paradise.

Central Valley in California.

Supposed to be 106 this afternoon, with 108 on tap tomorrow.

Not sure how accurate the forecast is though, was only 101 yesterday. Predicted was 104. Temps just seem to be 3 or 4 degrees behind the forecast.

Which is nice.

Overcast here and 70. Yesterday it rained early, I got some weeding done in the midst of it.

Still humid as heck, I run the AC almost every day.

I always believed from people wearing jackets that California had a cool climate but I may be thinking off LA. and must be warmer where you are"

83 and partly cloudy with 74% humidity. Only going to about 87 today. That's in central Alabama and kind of cool for this time of year.

The coast can be cool and foggy even (especially) in the summer, but go inland a bit and it gets a lot hotter quickly. I am about 300 miles north of Alan in the central valley and it's 99 degrees now. 85 miles away, San Francisco is 65 degrees.

102F in one of the shops today, 95 in the other one. I work in it, no problem.

The Blazer's ambient temp readout said 98 as I drove home happily with all my windows down.

Only real downside of working in heat once you're acclimated to it is electrolyte depletion from drinking so much water.

Probably one of the reasons I tend to have leg cramps at night in the summer.

I'm working on a non-"sports drink" solution.

Yesterday there was a flash flood situation in Boston and vicinity.  6 inches of rain.

Must be the impending end of the world we keep hearing about.

I wish it'd just go ahead and happen so all the doomers can say "I told you so".

Central Valley of California, (Bakersfield, Fresno, Modesto) gets some pretty hot temps. We are classified as hot desert climate (Köppen BWh),so 100 deg summers are normal.

I knew a guy who swore by this..... When he was aching from needing hydrating, he would put a bunch of salt in a V8 drink, the tomato drink. He said it helped both with the cramps and making you drink water.....

Saw 103ºF in Stealth's (Honda Civic) digital temp yesterday.  About two months ago the prediction is not what happened, simple.  Even tho I'm a Zonie, still hate hot, but with low humidity and a little breeze, no wonder everyone is moving here.  Just need to show up at 7:00am.  At 9 when I took this picture, it was still nice, but no clouds.   I just took it slow all day, getting my new toy.
